Bandai Tamagotchi TamaTown Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I had several Tomagotchi toys when I was in high school. I was dating DH at the time and he was working at a retail store in the mall. He brought one for me just for fun and I totally filled in love with it. Having a personal pet that you get to feed, play with and watch it grow, it was lots of fun. At some point, I actually lost my Tomogotchi and then brought a new one. I rediscovered my old one just as the pet was dying -- yeah, that was pretty sad, good thing it was not a real pet.

DD has been asking for a real pet, we haven't decided if we are going to buy her one yet. Then, by pure chance, I was contacted by the company and asked to review the new TamaTown toys created by Tamagotchi.

This toy is for kids 8 years and older. DD, without a doubt, is too young for it. However, with my help, DD was able to start her own virtual pet. The new TamaTown toys are different from the old ones I used to play with when I was in high school. They are bigger in size so that they are easier for DD's little hands to hold and push the buttons. Each TamaTown comes with 1 unique character, but you can buy additional characters to unlock new games(the cute little plastic character you attach to the top of the TamaTown egg).

Each TamaTown retails for $19.99 and each additional character retails for $6.99. You can pick up these cute toys for your kids at your local Toys R US stores, or you can purchase them online at Toysrus.com or Amazon.com.
