NEW PLAY-DOH Books, More Learning, More Fun! Review & Prize Pack Giveaway

*I received  free products for review purpose. I did not receive any compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are not always positive, but they are my personal and honest opinions. Other people's views and experiences with the product or products might be different from mine.

Just in time to keep busy hands and minds engaged this summer, Silver Dolphin Books, a publisher of high-quality novelty and activity-based books for children has once again joined forces with Hasbro, Inc’s famed PLAY-DOH brand to debut three NEW series of books, all of which continue to live up to their tag line…“Where Learning and Creativity Take Shape."

PLAY-DOH: Hands on Learning Series:

Explore the pages of these entertaining books with your trusty animal guides as they share their knowledge. This exciting, new series provides youngsters with interesting facts about their favorite things. Each  10-page, full-color book includes five tutorials and four cans of PLAY-DOH compound, so young sculptors can create their own imitations of the PLAY-DOH illustrations as well as add finishing touches to each scene in the book. The first title in the series is PLAY-DOH Hands On Learning: In The Jungle which features the adventures of a little lion who makes five new friends as he explores the jungle – a cheeky monkey, a happy hippo, a friendly frog, a sneaky snake, and a spotted giraffe.  PLAY-DOH Hands On Learning: Under the Sea  takes young readers deep into the ocean with an adorable octopus, a super sea star, a clownish clown fish, a fancy sea horse, and a not-so-scary shark. Each colorful page includes amazing facts about sea and its inhabitants making learning fun.

PLAY-DOH: Sound Series:

Stretch those vocal chords – it’s time for sing-along! In this musical series, two childhood mainstays come together – PLAY-DOH sculpts and nursery songs. Press the button on the musical books and follow  along with illustrations of lovable animals. All pre-schoolers will love the classic childhood tunes of PLAY-DOH: Old MacDonald Had a Farm with all of its moo-moos here and oink-oinks there and PLAY-DOH:  The Wheels on the Bus that go ‘round and ‘round. The books are sure to perfect to bring along on family summer road trips.

PLAY-DOH: Story Fun Series:
Little ones love to explore the world. With trips through the truck yard, the farm, and the jungle featuring adorable PLAY-DOH animals, these books teach children – ages 3 and up – about their environments and  the places they live. Each 12-page board book comes with a can of PLAY-DOH compound making it fun to transform dirt and rubble into a beautiful city in PLAY-DOH: Trucks; create new animal friends for  Mommy and Baby Giraffe in PLAY-DOH: Jungle Friends; and spend a day on the farm with PLAY-DOH: Farm Friends  and learn about the many farm animals that Mommy and Baby Cow meet.

Our Review:
PLAY-DOH Books are great for preschoolers! My little guy loves play-doh but he typically just mixes colors and just roll them into balls. These fun Play-doh books we got to review has wonderful images to give your child ideas on the fun animals, sea creatures or trucks they could create. While the G man still has some trouble recreating the animal he sees in these books, he has gotten a lot of help from his big sister. I love seeing my kids hanging out at the craft table I set up for them and spending hours making stuff from play-doh. The board books are very well made, so they are able to endure lots of abuse from my active little guy who is not always careful with his books. We love these books. If you have preschoolers in your home, we recommend checking these books out.

To buy the books we received to review, please visit Silver Dolphin Books.

Many thanks to Silver Dolphin Books, the company has generously offered an amazing prize pack of all 7 PLAY-DOH books making their debut this summer as a giveaway prize to one of my lucky readers. The retail value of this prize pack is $87 (US only please). This giveaway ends on July 25, 2014.
