Monkey Business

The Meaty Dimension
The Butcher discovers the portal where all of his meat is stored and concocts a plan to trap Huggy and WordGirl so that he can take over the city. Will WordGirl and Huggy be able to outsmart the butcher and get rid of his meat portal for good?

Whammer Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Botsford leave Becky to babysit TJ so they can celebrate their anniversary at a local ice cream parlor. When the Whammer can’t get the sundae he orders he starts whamming. Becky has to find a way to save her parents, babysit TJ, and keep her secret identity intact.

Peanut Butter Battles
Chuck adds a new condiment to his arsenal – peanut butter!  The highly sticky substance envelops its victims into a giant ball.  When WordGirl gets hit with a peanut-buttery blast and Huggy has to roll her around town, will she still be able to save the day?

Our Review:
There is a 5 year gap between my kids and as they get older, I have found that it has gotten harder to find shows and movies that both of them will enjoy. Something that my 8 year old daughter might watch with her little brother last year might not be interesting to her anymore this year. Fortunately, Wordgirl is a show that both of my kids still love. It was not until recently that my little guy started showing interest in watching Wordgirl. Luckily, DD still loves the show, so my 2 kids will happily watch the Wordgirl: Monkey Business DVD together. My kids think that this DVD is entertaining. As a parent, I love that they could learn new words to add onto their vocabulary list and hence enhance their reading comprehension simply by watching a TV show they like.
