Me-ify Potty Star! App Review

*I received compensation to review this app. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are not always positive, but they are my personal and honest opinions. Other people's views and experiences with the product or products might be different from mine.

As a parent, the two major milestones for me are getting my child to sleep through the night and potty training. These two are especially important to me because they are what I have most difficulties with. Luckily, both of my kids are great sleepers so we don't have any problem in that department. However, the story is really different when it comes to potty training.

My little guy is almost three years old. He has shown a lot of interest in the potty. From time to time, he will even sit on it. However, getting him to actually go on the potty is a totally different ball game.

To get him more excited about using the potty, we thought it would great to use Me-ify Potty Star! App to make potty time more fun and interesting.

The first thing you get to do is create a cartoon avatar of your child. I made one of the G man at first, but he did not like it. So I ended up remaking the avatar with him. I like that you could pick the skin tone, hair style, eye colors and design on his/her shirt.
After an avatar is created, your child could listen to songs (for flushing, waiting, potty steps, hand washing and celebration), read/listen to the potty book starring your child, or play games (such as Target Practice, Potty Matching  and Potty Clean up).

Since we are trying to potty train the G man, we would read the potty book with him. We also only allow him to play with the games for this app when he is sitting on the potty.

We started using the app with our little guy about a week ago. Since we started, he has been sitting on the potty longer. He is showing more interest in going to the potty too. I think the biggest progress we made was him telling us he needs to use the potty instead of us just randomly putting him on the toilet every hour. Although the G man is not fully potty trained yet, I really like the fact that the Me-ify Potty Star! app has made sitting on the toilet and flushing it none scary for my child.

If you are looking for a new way to make using the potty for more for your child, I recommend checking out the Me-ify Potty Star! app.
