We owned most of the Disney animations, except for a selected few and The Jungle Book is on of them. For this reason, we are super excited that Disney decided to release this classic film from the Disney Vault. My kids had been watching The Jungle Book on VHS tape at their grandparents' house, but let's face it, since they have always watched movies on DVDs and Blu-ray players, they just could not understand the whole concept of rewinding the tape and waiting for 5 minutes before they could watch it again, lol. Being able to watch The Jungle Book on Blu-ray definitely means less complaining from my kids. Comparing to the VHS version they were watching, the video quality on the Blu-ray is certainly a lot better. My kids thoroughly enjoy watching the adventures in the story, but I think that learning about the friendships formed between the characters is just as valuable. While The Jungle Book is not new to them, my kids love extra features like the sing-along and the behind the scenes clips that this blu-ray and DVD combo offers.
