DEL TACO MAKES A SPLASH WITH RETURN OF CRISPY SHRIMP
Crispy Shrimp Menu Items Back By Popular Demand for a Limited Time
Back by popular demand, beginning Feb. 6 Del Taco will offer its crispy shrimp in either a taco or burrito for a limited time. Both Del Taco’s Crispy Shrimp Taco and Burrito feature crispy golden shrimp, fresh cabbage, freshly chopped pico de gallo salsa and Del Taco’s secret sauce. The burrito adds lime rice and the tacos are served with a fresh lime wedge. For a limited time, guests can purchase two Crispy Shrimp Tacos for $4 and two guest-favorite Beer Battered Fish Tacos for $3.50.
“Our fans constantly tell us how much they enjoy our Crispy Golden Shrimp Tacos and Burritos, and we’re happy to bring these items back to satisfy their cravings,” said John Cappasola, the company’s executive vice president and chief brand officer. “With fresh ingredients prepared in-restaurant, it’s easy to see why these are two of our most popular menu items.”
Topped with fresh pico de gallo salsa, which is prepared in Del Taco restaurants daily, Crispy Shrimp Tacos and Burritos align with Del Taco’s goal to provide guests quality, made-to-order menu items with freshly-prepared ingredients.
About Del Taco
At Del Taco, all menu items taste better because they are made to order with fresh ingredients including cheddar cheese grated from 40-pound blocks, handmade pico de gallo salsa, lard-free beans slow-cooked from scratch, and marinated chicken grilled in the restaurant. The menu includes classic Mexican dishes such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas and nachos as well as American favorites including hamburgers, crinkle-cut fries and shakes. In 2013, Del Taco
announced a rebranding effort and the “UnFreshing Believable” advertising campaign to communicate the lengths the company goes to in order to deliver quality, made-to-order menu items created with freshly-prepared ingredients. Del Taco also serves breakfast featuring a full line of breakfast burritos, and is the first Mexican quick service restaurant to offer Turkey Tacos. Del Taco has 545 restaurants in 17 states serving more than three million guests each week.
