MOOD-FACTORY Review

*I received free products for review purpose. I did not receive any other form of compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are not always positive, but they are my personal and honest opinions. Other people's views and experiences with the product or products might be different from mine.

What’s red and green and lit all over?  Mood-Factory’s red Mood Passion™ and green Mood Renewal™ Mood-lites create a festive mood this holiday season.  Available from $2.98 to $6.99 at Lowe’s Home improvement stores nationwide, www.mood-factory.com, Mood-lites are an ideal stocking stuffer.
“Mood-lites represent Mood-Factory’s first line of products which are based on the sense of sight, and specifically, in regards to how colors affect how we feel,” said the Chicago-based Kathryn Goetzke, President, Mood-Factory. “We initially launched an incandescent line in 2004, and in 2012 launched a 2nd generation including flood, porch, and compact fluorescent (CFL) Mood-lites. The colors were developed using a number of color expert research, and applying their general concepts to lighting.”

“Andy Warhol once said that ‘a person is entitled to the lighting they need’ and I believe that people need the ability to instantly change their lighting to suit their mood or to indulge their spiritual, artistic or decorative side,” adds Goetzke.
In 2004, in addition to launching the Mood-Factory, Kathryn Goetzke founded the International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression (iFred), www.depression.org, to shine a positive light on depression and eliminate the stigma associated with the disease through prevention, research and education. Its goal is to ensure 100% of the 350 million people affected by depression seek and receive treatment. Kathryn has seen first-hand the devastating affects depression has had on friends and families and donates part of the proceeds of the Mood-Factory product-line to iFred.

Other uplifting hues in the Mood-lites line include: Happiness (yellow); Energy (Orange); Serenity (Light Blue); Sassy (Pink); Creativity (Purple) and Tranquility (Deep Blue).

About Mood-Factory – Mood-Factory, www.mood-factory.com, founded by Kathryn Goetzke in 2004, first came to national prominence with the development of a new category of lighting with the launch of Mood-lites, www.mood-lites.com, available in multiple “moods” ranging from Happy™ to Passion™ to Serenity™.  Goetzke is the founder of iFred (the International Foundation for Research and Education on Depression), www.ifred.org, a non-profit organization whose mission is to shine a positive light on depression and eliminate the stigma associated with the disease through prevention, research and education. Its goal is to ensure 100% of the 350 million people affected by depression seek and receive treatment. Part of the proceeds of the Mood-Factory product line is contributed to iFred.

OUR REVIEW:
I received a couple of Mood-Lites to review. I actually have never used any color light bulbs in my house (except for the Christmas lights on our Christmas tree) so it was fun for us to check out these light bulbs. My 7 year old daughter thought that they were really cool, so we ended up using one for a lamp in her room. We also tested the other one in our backyard light fixture next to the pool. We thought the different colors were really neat. We also thought that these color light blubs would be great for when we host parties at our house. Or, we could also use them as a part of the holiday decoration.

They are reasonably priced and could be purchased at your local Lowe's.
