Ice Cream Magic sounds like a great product to me because it only uses a couple of ingredients and the kids could make it themselves.
We received an Ice Cream Magic ice cream maker to review. I helped DD put the ingredients (we used heavy cream) in and asked her to shake it for 3 minutes. I thought 3 minutes was not a long time, but DD complained that her arms were tired about half way through so I helped her finishing shaking it. In the end, it actually took us about 7 minutes to get to the consistency we liked. She was excited to try the ice cream she made. In fact, she was pretty impressed by the final product. I thought the ice cream tasted ok. This was a fun novelty product I think my daughter will use from time to time. I imagine that when she has friends over for sleepovers, they would love using it to make their own ice cream too. But it's a good amount of shaking for a very small amount of ice cream. So I would say this is more of a toy than an actually ice cream maker for my daughter. With that said, it is still a product that my daughter has a lot of fun trying.
