D-Link Cloud Camera 1150 Day/Night Network Cloud Camera Review

*I received a free product for review purpose. I did not receive any other form of compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are not always positive, but they are my personal and honest opinions. Other people's views and experiences with the product or products might be different from mine.

I was contacted by D-Link to review their Cloud Camera 1150. Because we have been so happy with the other D-Link products we have in the house, I happily agreed. I must admit that I am never really that thrill about setting up any electronic equipments in our house. I like to leave these sort of things for my husband to figure out. So, I handed him the Cloud Camera and asked him to please set it up for me. Just like before, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my husband had Cloud Camera ready for me to test out. In general, we are just impressed by how well D-Link make their products to make sure that the set up process is easy on their customers.

When I was telling a friend about the Cloud Camera, they thought it would make a great nanny cam, or have one set up in your kids' classroom so you could monitor how well your child is doing at school. We love our baby sitter, she has been watching DD ever since she was an infant, so we honestly do not believe that a nanny cam is necessary for us. I am also most definitely not going to use this at my daughter's school. However, there were a couple of places that we thought were prefect for the house. We considered using it in little guy's room as a toddler monitor because it has night viewing option. But then, we thought it was best suited for our front door. We actually mounted in the corner of our house by the front door because we thought that it makes a great (and inexpensive) security camera. The cloud camera has sound and motion detection that we like. We get UPS and FED-EX deliveries everyday. They always ring the door bell, but sometimes I am busy with the kids upstairs. It is nice to be able to use the app I downloaded onto my phone to check the camera and see who is at the door and if it's urgent enough for me to answer it. The night viewing option is also great so we could easily use the camera to see who is at our door without having to open it to find out. I love that I could view the front of our house remotely. The free mydlink Lite app could be downloaded to an iPhone, iPad pr Android device so you could have remote reviewing from different devices. I also love the Wi-Fi extender feature of the camera that expands our wireless network.

We are very happy with the D-Link Cloud Camera. To get one as a holiday gift this season, please visit the D-Link website to make your purchase.
