Our Review:
I can't remember exactly how long ago I bought our first Little Mermaid DVD, but it was when I was just beginning to start a family DVD collection. I loved the movie when I first saw it in the theater as a young girl, so I wanted to pick it up for my little girl. DD loves the movie as much as I do. I remember how she would watched it over and over again. Last year, my friend Janine asked me if she could borrow our Little Mermaid DVD because she remembered that I had mentioned how we still watched it all the time. I was surprised and I asked her why she didn't want to buy it in the store. She explained that she had tried many stores. Because the film was in Disney Vault so she could not find it anywhere. We loaned her the DVD, but when I gave it to her, I noticed that because we had watched it so many times and DD had been somewhat rough with it, the DVD was really scratched up. As such, I am so glad that Disney decided to re-release Little Mermaid again. I am even more excited that it is available on Blu-ray as well. The blu-ray and DVD combo has over 3 hours of bonus. Besides deleted scenes, we also got to see a character named Harold that was deleted from the film. My daughter especially enjoyed the music video and the sing along. One of the many reasons why I love this movie is because of the wonderful music in it. DD has watched it so many times that she has memorized every word to every song in the movie. If you are a Little Mermaid fan or you have a Disney film collection, be sure to pick up a copy of the The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition Blu-ray and DVD combo. This is available for limited time only and you will want to pick this one before Little Mermaid goes back to the Disney Vault again.
