Barbie Dreamhouse to review. When she was a toddler, she received a smaller doll house as a gift. She played with it constantly but as she got older, she lost interest in the doll house. Her love for Barbie never faded though, she plays with her Barbie dolls every chance she gets. One of her favorite activities when her best friend Catherine comes over for a sleepover is playing Barbie with her. Sometimes she will even ask her 2 year old little brother to play Barbie with her (but as you could imagine, 2 year old little boys don't make great Barbie playmates).
It took my husband a couple of hours to put the Dreamhouse together for DD. She waited patiently by her daddy as he built the house for her. Then after he was done, he realized that he had made a huge mistake. He built the Dreamhouse in the kids' playroom, but DD wanted it in her bedroom. The Dreamhouse was so large that my husband had a hard time moving it upstairs into DD's bedroom. Although the Dreamhouse is not heavy, but because it is so tall and wide, it is awkward moving it around, so I recommend building it when you think you will be keeping it.
Here's DD with her Barbie Dreamhouse to give you an idea just how large this house is!
DD loves the 2013 Dreamhouse, I don't think there is anything she does not like about it. I asked her if there is a feature she particularly likes, she told me that she thinks that the pink toilet is very cool. She is also a fan of Barbie's walking in closet.
It is wonderful to see my daughter playing with her Dreamhouse like I used to. It is also really sweet to see how much my daughter adores her Barbie dolls. I think it is great that Barbie has really kept up with the changes in time and after all of these years, it is still such a fun toy for little girls to play with.
