Being able to watch the Superbook DVDs are a great reinforcement for her. We received 14 DVDs total and she was excited to watch every one of them. From "In the Beginning," "Let My People Go," "The First Christmas," "Roar," "The Road to Damascus," "The Test," "Jacob and Esau," "He is Risen," Jonah," Joseph and Pharaoh's Dream," "A Giant Adventure," "The Ten Commandment," "Miracles of Jesus," to "The Last Supper," I was surprised by how familiar my daughter was with all of these Biblical stories. I love how she reaches for her Bible and tries to find the different passages when she watches the DVDs.
It is difficult to pick a favorite because these stories are all amazing and even for someone who is not familiar with the Bible, it is very likely that they have heard of all of them. "He is Risen," is a great DVD to watch for Easter and "The First Christmas" would be prefect on Christmas eve. My daughter loves seeing David and Goliath in action. She also enjoys watching "In the Beginning" because it teaches valuable lessons about obedience and forgiveness.
The animation for these DVDs is fantastic, but one of my favorite features is that you could go on the Superbook website to download discussion questions. I love to being able to go through these questions with her to see what she got out of watching the DVDs.
