To make sure the strawberries don't go bad, I cleaned them, cut them up and stored them in my garage freezer. Then, I decided that I would make some healthy Paleo friendly sorbet with them.
To make about 4 cups of strawberry sorbet, I used:
* 3 cups of frozen strawberries
* 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
* 2 tablespoons of honey (I used organic pure honey)
Use a blender (I used a Vitamix blender) to puree the frozen strawberries with apple sauce and honey until you get a smooth consistency. It took me about 1 minute to do that.
Your puree should be ice cold so you could enjoy it as a refreshing dessert right away. If you want to save it for later, store it in the freezer using an air tight freezer friendly container. I used an Anchor Hocking TrueSeal storage container for our sorbet.
Happy Paleo dessert time!
