Of course, if you have kids, you already know that getting a cold from your kids is unavoidable. As much as I want to stay healthy, my kids do get sick from coming in contact with their peers from child care and school. Once one of my kids is sick, it is a rapid domino effect, the rest of us will get sick too. More often than not, the kids will be sick and I will have to take care of them while I am sick too. Even though I would rather just lay in bed all day long so I could recover, as a mom, I don't have that luxury. I need to get healthy quick so that I could take care of my family.
During the day, to make sure that I can function despite my cold, I would take DayQuil. It definitely helps with my coughs and nasal congestion so that I could go back to being a mom. It is non-drowsy so that I could still be the mom I need to be for my kids. I could drive my daughter to art lessons, Chinese school or choir practice. I could chase after my overactive toddler at the park. After a long day, I could even make dinner for my family.
While both DayQuil and NyQuil come in liquid and liquicaps, I personally prefer the liquidcaps because I am don't like the taste of any medication. DayQuil and NyQuil are products my husband and I could not live without. Once I had a nasty cold and I used up the last of the NyQuil so I had to send my husband to buy more in the middle of the night. After that incident, we always make sure that we have enough DayQuil and NyQuil in the house so that no one need to rush to the store so late at night.
We are fans of Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil and we would recommend it without any hesitations! If you haven't tried these products before, Remember before trying any new medication make sure to check with your doctor & follow the proper recommended course of treatment. DayQuil & Nyquil is not recommended for children younger than 12. Please be sure to consult your physician before giving DayQuil & NyQuil to children. Last but not least, when using DayQuil/NyQuil, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions or visit http://www.vicks.com for more information.
