Horrid Henry DVD Review

The film stars the illustrious Anjelica Huston and newcomer, Theo Stevenson, as the title character. On March 12, 2013, the limited edition DVD, which features a non-toxic, upholstery-friendly “slime pack” for creating Horrid Henry-style mischief, will be available exclusively at Walmart stores in the U.S.

With a run time of 93 minutes, the movie is rated PG for some silly humor, and features a rocking soundtrack including Katy Perry, The Saturdays and LMFAO’s Party Rick Anthem and will be sure to get everyone on their feet dancing!

Plot synopsis: When Henry fails yet again to hand in his homework for the umpteenth time, he inadvertently sets off an unexpected and curious chain of events. He forms an unlikely alliance with Moody Margaret, the infuriating girl next door, wins a talent contest, and stands up to his ultimate nemesis. With each antic crazier than the last, Henry finds himself inexplicably trying to save the very school which he has always professed to hate!

Our Review:
Between attending first grade, going to Chinese school on the weekending and a number of after school activities, DD is a busy bee who is always on the go. One of the things we love doing on the weekends is to watch a movie together as a family. This is probably the only time out of the week that everyone is relaxing in our living room together. Finding a movie that the entire family enjoys is difficult. I have founded that it is almost impossible to find a movie that please everyone. Typically, half way through the movie, you will find me and DH working on our tablet or DD wandering off to play with her toys. As such, our expectation of Horrid Henry wasn't very high. But to gear up for our special movie night, I used the gift card I received to pick up plenty of treats like popcorn, candies, chocolates, juices and sodas. On Sunday night, we sat down and snack while we watched the movie. DD thought Henry is a trouble maker who is also silly and funny. There were many laugh out loud moments for her. Even her little brother, who had no idea what was happening in the movie, began to laugh with her. My husband and I also enjoyed watching the movie. It made us realize how calm and sweet our kids were, lol. Although Henry had caused a lot of trouble, DD liked that he had a good heart and wanted to do the right thing when he was faced with a challenge.
