Author Dana Meachen Rau focuses on the art of design (not baking) and with her simple techniques and instructions, kids will be able to design and decorate like a pro, with no baking skills or fancy pastry supplies required. The results are whimsical, inspiring, and utterly gorgeous desserts. I've attached a few interior pages from the book so you can see how deliciously fun these creations truly are!
Dessert designer is a book that contains 51 fun creations that's creative and yummy for the family. Written for kids age 9 to 13, the book is filled with detailed step by step instructions for each creation. The instructions are easy to follow and the final product looks so adorable that it's difficult for us not to try recreate them as soon as the book arrived.
While most of the creations are easy to duplicate, there are a few that I think would likely require parents' assistance if your child decided to give them a try. All in all, we thought that the book offers many great creations that we haven't seen in the past. The book definitely has gotten my daughter excited about creating some special sweet treats on her own.
