While there are some national chained stores I shop at every Black Friday, I am really looking forward to doing some Small Business Saturday shopping with my best friend Jessica. We have been planning activities for this week – since our kids have the entire week off. In additional to taking our kids out for some playdates and work on some crafts, we have also planned on doing some serious damage to our credit cards this weekend.
On Black Friday, we are hitting the outlet malls and stocking up on our kids'
winter pajamas. On Saturday, we are leaving the kids with our husband to do
some small business shopping. We are visiting the local Chinese bakery to pick
up some tasty fresh pastry for our families. Afterwards, we are going to
farmer's market to pick up some fresh fruits and vegetable. This is an activity
that my best friend and I do every weekend. We show our appreciation to local
farmers by buying their produce every weekend, and this coming Saturday is no
different from the other times.
Afterwards, we are going to pick up our kids and take them to a small shop
that's fairly new to my neighborhood. It opened up a couple of months ago.
Jessica and I went to check it out on its grand opening day. We just adore all
of the unique items in there. Not only that everything is very reasonably
priced, the store has so many interesting and cute items that we are sure that
our kids would love buy for their friends and classmates this Christmas. Even
though we usually don’t like to shop with our kids, but we actually have wanted
to take them to this shop since our first visit. Inside the store, there are
large selections of craft supplies, school supplies, toys as well as snacks we
haven’t seen in national chain stores we frequent. To finish the day, we plan
on spoiling our kids by taking them to a small candy shop where we are going to
allow them to try new candies.
We are super excited about the day we planned for ourselves and our kids. I
can’t wait to share pictures of our fun day with you!
