Roads boasts a wildly eclectic assortment of songs, ranging from Willie Nelson’s “Always on My Mind” and Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” to “Ave Maria” and Damien Rice’s “The Blowers’ Daughter,” with the latter featuring a special guest appearance from Christina Aguilera. Mann co-wrote two songs, “Cuore,” based on Bach’s “Air on a G String,” and the contemporary ballad “Falling.”
Christ Mann's new CD "Roads" includes an assortment of songs that most people love or at least recognize. I think it's both risky and courageous of him to try to recreate songs that's already widely loved. After hearing the CD, I thought that Chris Mann has a great voice that truly shines through in the songs. Although I like the original songs better, I still think that he did a great job putting his own personality into them.
