Coffee Mug Craft

This is such an easy and great craft!  All you need is some plain mugs and sharpies. I only had a black sharpie but you can definitely use different colors. To begin, use the mug as a canvas to draw or write out your favorite quote. If you are giving the mug as a gift, I recommend using a quote that would be appropriate for the holiday or person -- a quote about mothers for Mother's Day or a Bible verse for a friend at church.

On one of my mugs, I wrote out Psalm 139:14. On the other mug, I drew a cupcake for my daughter and on the other side of the mug, I wrote her name on it. To make sure the ink does not wash off, simply bake the mugs in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If you make a mistake during the creative process, you can wipe the ink off with rubbing alcohol. After you bake the mugs, the drawing/ quote will become permanent, so make sure you are happy with your designs before you pop them in the oven.

What a cool idea! I always have little gifts at Christmas for when unexpected guests pop in. I'm going to make several. Thanks for such a thoughtful and easy project. Kids can make them for their Teachers,Grandparents and anyone they think of.
