Barilla World Pasta Day

If you have been following my blog, I am sure you have already heard about our busy schedule. DD started first grade this year. Besides attending school full time, she also has gymnastic practices, art lessons, choir practices and Chinese school every week. While she is at school, I am either spending time at church or I am at home with my little guy working on different chores. After my daughter gets out of school, it's non stop work for me until the kids go to bed. On many afternoons, I pick DD up from school, drive her to her after school activity and then I pick her up just in time for dinner. By the time we get home, I am often too exhausted to put a dinner together. Although I tried to be more prepared and make things ahead of time, sometimes I have to throw something together the last minute.

Since we are busy all day long, it's important to us that we all sit down at the dinner table and enjoy the meal together. During dinner is when we have each other's full attention and we get to share stories of our day with one another. As such, dinner is very important to all of us. When I feel like I  don't have enough time to make dinner, I know I can always count on Barilla. With help from Barilla, I am put a healthy meal on the table in 30 minutes or less.
I usually take a protein and add it to the pasta. For this review, I chose sausages as the protein.
After the sausages were fully cooked, I added some vegetables to it.
Then Barilla sauce was added.
I served it over Barilla pasta with some cheese on top. A complete meal with protein, vegetables and carbohydrates was made in less than 30 minutes.
Did you know that 88% of parents are reliant upon multi-tasking each day and more than half (58%) say their life is more hectic now, than a year ago? This statement is definitely true for me. I always feel like there are so many things on my to-do list. Instead of it getting shorter by the end of the day, I am always adding more things I need to take care of the following day. Despite the busy schedule we have, we always manage to enjoy our dinners together. I love that I don't have to slave in the kitchen for hours in order to put a decent meal together for my family. Furthermore, it makes me so happy to see my family enjoying a meal I cooked for them. Barilla has made things easier for me in the kitchen, has it done the same for you?
