About Cinderella:

Everyone orders Cinderella around: her cruel stepmother, her awful stepsisters -- even the big clock in the church tower tells her when to start another day of drudgery. But they can't stop her from dreaming, and Cinderella has faith that someday her wishes will come true. When an invitation to the royal ball arrives, Cinderella is sure her time has come -- until her stepsisters, with the encouragement of Lady Tremaine, tear her gown to shreds.
Just when Cinderella believes all is lost, her Fairy Godmother appears, and with a wave of her wand and “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,” transforms an ordinary pumpkin into a magnificent coach and Cinderella’s rags into a gorgeous gown, then sends her off to the Royal Ball. But Cinderella’s enchanted evening must end when the spell is broken at midnight. It will take the help of her daring animal mice friends and a perfect fit into a glass slipper to create the ultimate fairy tale ending.

Our Review:
I must admit that I haven't seen this movie since I was a little girl, so it was definitely interesting to watch it so many year later. I was surprised that I remembered most of the movie even though I haven't seen it in so long. I asked DD if she has ever seen the movie before, and she told me that she loves Cinderella. Apparently, she has been watching it during her visits to Grandma and Grandpa's house (they still own the VHS version, lol). I thought the digital version of Cinderella was really great. The picture quality is amazing. With a classic tale such as this one, it's a timeless piece that we certainly want to keep in our movie library. Included in this combo pack is Disney's Tangled Ever After animated short film. While we had great laughs watching all of the things that gone wrong at the loyal wedding, I was also surprised by how different the animation looks from Cinderella. Disney animation has a come a long way since its first movies. Of course, this does not make Cinderella film any less loved by my family, we just had to get used to the differences in the animation.

Thanks for the review. My favorite part of Cinderella is her relationship with her singing furry friends. I’ve seen the story remade in multiple ways and the perfect fairy tale never gets old because every one likes to believe they will find true love, despite all odds. Having seen the original made me question whether seeing the film again on Blu-ray was necessary, but coworkers of mine from DISH who know our family’s love for Disney movies have said the Blu-ray version is definitely worth seeing. My passion for buying movies is sweet and sour like the drama behind the camera; I love the smell of a new Blu-ray, it’s an addicting, but expensive habit. The decision to start renting from Blockbuster @Home has given me the freedom to save a lot of money, but the best part is that I’m watching a lot more movies than before. If Cinderella is everything I remember it to be, I might have to make an exception this one time.
