Summer Family Fun! Rainy Day “SOS” Kit Review

Since summer break started for DD, we have been keeping busy. Between gymnastic lessons, art camp, sleepovers with her best friend, playdates, we are almost never home. But, when we received our Summer Family Fun! Rainy Day “SOS” Kit to review, the timing could not have been more perfect. It rarely rains in Southern California, but it was raining for a couple of days last week. Instead of heading out for hang out with our friends, we opted to stay home and watch some movies. The kids were thoroughly entertained by the DVDs we received to review. For me, I was glad to stay home and relax for once, lol.

The Rainy Day SOS kit came with 8 movies (these family-friendly DVD’s are avilable at Redbox locations nationwide), a blanket for movie watching, a deck of cards, popcorn and some candy. The 8 movies are: I heart Shakey, My friend Bernard, Rock Stars, Space Dogs, Donkey X, Smitty, Freddy Frogface and Kiara the Brave. 

Out of all of the movies, Kiara the Brave and the Space Dogs were my kids' favorites. It was interesting to see that my kids could indeed sit still for more than 5 minutes -- especially after we have been running around every day since the beginning of summer. I thought the Raining Day SOS kit is a fantastic idea. I like that we were able to dig in the box and find something the kids want to watch when we could not go out to play.
