We encourage our kids to read and appreciate the wonderful world of literature. We read to our kids daily and now that DD knows how to read, she also spends sometime reading on her own. For this reason, we think that Excuse Me, I'm Trying to Read is a great book. The story follows a young girl who is trying to read but gets interrupted by different African animals. As such, in addition to show how important reading is, my kids are also able to learn about the animals that the narrator comes across. This is a book worth itself place on my children's bookshelf.
