Epson Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer Review

Are you the kind of mom who loves to scrapbook and enjoys printing out your family photos from the comfort of your own home? Do you own an Epson printer? If you don't already have one, why not ask for one this Mother's Day?

I am not the kind of mom who wants expensive jewelry for special occasions. I dress causally, so diamonds and gold would not do me much good. However, since I am constantly taking pictures of my kids and printing them out on my printer, I could always use a good printer. As such, when Epson contacted me and asked me if I would like to check out the Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer, I happily agreed.
Like the other Epson printers I have tried in the past, the Artisan 1430 Inkjet Printer is wifi friendly. Honestly, if you don't already own a wifi ready printer, I highly recommend picking one up. I love being able to print documents and photos from my laptop or my iPad anywhere in the house. Also, just like the other Epson printers, setting this up was really simply. Since my husband was working overtime at his job, I ended up setting up the printer by myself (something I would not normally do if he wasn't so busy at work). I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. It literally took me less than 20 minutes to take it out of the box and have everything set up to go.
You might wonder why this printer is so impressive compared to other Epson printers. One of the features I love on this printer is its ability to print out 13"x19" borderless photos. This is a capability that my last Epson printer did not have, so I was eager to try it out. Typically when I want a large print like this, I would order my photo from stores. However, being able to print them at home is just that much more convenient for a busy mom like me.  In any case, I ended up printing my kids' Easter photo using the printer. It took less than 5 minutes to print out the 13"x19" photo. I was really impressed by the quality of the print as well.

In addition to being able to print larger size photos, I also love how fast it prints my weekly coupons or documents I need for DD's school. A printer like this doesn't just make my photo printing easier, it is also something that the whole family could use. My Epson printers have proved to be not only made of great quality but also very functional.

This review caught my eye when the word Artisan Printer popped out. I do a lot of printing. I make my own business cards and tags for items I paint. And because I also scrapbook and paint, having that large capacity printing is fantastic! I would definitely take a serious look at this printer when time comes for a new one.

Brand new printer out of box, put the ink cartridges that came with it in and then it powered itself off. When I turned it back on I get a flashing power light, flashing paper light and solid ink light(laser toner). Epson was very pleasant to talk to, they had no idea what was wrong and are sending me a new one. Hopefully the next one is better.
