Char Crust Seasonings Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I cook dinner almost every night and I often feel like I am always cooking the same things for my family. Don't get me wrong, I will try new recipes once in awhile, but I don't do it often enough. We eat pretty simply. Most of the time, I would make 1 protein dish along with 2 vegetable sides for dinner. To make things easier for myself, I have gotten used to using different spices on the proteins to make them taste better/different.

Because I do love to try different spices on our chicken and fish dishes, when I was asked to review Char Crust, I happily agreed. I was sent 4 different favors to try.

• Roasted Garlic Peppercorn features the robust flavor of roasted garlic and onions with the zing of peppercorns and a hint of Worcestershire and lavender. Its versatility has made it a best seller. It complements steaks, lamb, seafood, pork, poultry, and potatoes.

• Ginger Teriyaki is a balance of sweet teriyaki, fragrant ginger, plus a tingly touch of wasabi that lends a new dimension and creates a modern teriyaki interpretation. It complements chicken, fish, and steak.

• Amazin’ Cajun is a spicy-sweet blend of piquant cayenne pepper, onion, garlic, oregano and a mélange of other Mardi Gras flavors. It brings the sublime heat of New Orleans to catfish, chicken, shrimp, and even “dirty” rice.

• All American Barbecue takes the best flavors of American barbecue and blends them into a tangy-sweet, slightly spicy rub. It has rich molasses from Memphis, tangy tomato from Kansas City, mustard, pepper and vinegar from the Carolinas, plus a wisp of smoke from Texas.

Although all of the spices/ rubs have great favors, our favorites were the Roasted Garlic Peppercorn and Amazin’ Cajun. I used these rubs on some chicken breasts and then I sauteed them. My husband and my daughter both commented on how delicious the meal was and I was awarded with the title of "Best Chef" by my daughter, lol.

If you do any cooking at all, I highly recommend checking out Char Crust seasonings. I truly love their products. The only suggestion I have for their products is that I wish they came in bottles other spices and seasonings do. Their products came in bags that were then packaged in little cardboard boxes. I did not uses all of the spices at once and I did not want to leave the rubs in the bag it came in, so I ended up transferring them into empty baby food jars for storage. In the future, I hope that the company would consider packaging it differently.
