Hair Clips Holder Craft Project

DD had a basket full of hair clips. Every morning, she spent a good 10 to 15 minutes going through it to find the one she wanted to use. I decided that it was time to make her something to hold and display all of her hair clips so that she could find the one she wants much more easily.

To start, I bought a canvas board from a local craft store. I also had 1/2 yard of fabric, 1 roll of 3/8" ribbon, a staple gun and 1 pair of scissors.
I covered the canvas board with my fabric. You should tug at the fabric tightly and staple it in place (on the back of the canvas board).
I then stapled my ribbons onto the board. I just placed them evenly across the boards. You can use as many or as little ribbons as you like depending the size of the canvas board you are using. After you are done, you can clip the hair clips onto the ribbons and the hang up the canvas board.
This was a set of 3 hair bow holders I made for DD's room. I found 3 Hello Kitty key holders (at $1 each), I simply stapled some ribbons to the back of each holder and then used 3M picture hangers on the back of them to mount them to DD's bedroom door.
Here's DD's hair clips and hair bows on their holders.

What a great idea! I don't have any girls, but I have nieces that would love these! I love that you can personalize these anyway you want too!

Great idea! With 2 girls, I've got bows coming out of drawers and overflowing from baskets... this is a great way to clean up the ribbon clutter!
