Synopsis:  When Dylan Schoenfield (Sarah Hyland), Woodlands Academy’s top girl, accidentally drops her expensive “it” handbag into the mall fountain, she is surprised that film geek, Josh Rosen (Matt Prokop), retrieves it for her.  In exchange for rescuing her bag, Dylan must agree to be the subject of Josh’s documentary film.  Dylan hopes the film will help her campaign for Blossom Queen – she claims that winning is her only life goal.  Josh plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity, but, as he gets to know Dylan, he learns that the real Dylan is much more interesting than the persona she’s created.  At the last minute, Josh decides that his film should introduce this awesome girl to the world, but how will Dylan react when she sees it?

Our Review:
This is a movie depicting a film geek named Josh making a movie about Dylan being popular and her campaign for Blossom Queen. At first, Josh did not care much for Dylan because she appeared very superficial and spoiled. However, as he gotten to know her, he began to care for her. He saw that she was actually quite intelligent, fun and could also be silly at times. More importantly, even though he had assumed that she only wanted to be the Blossom Queen because she wanted to remain the most popular girl in school, he learned that it was because her mother was the Blossom Queen and she wanted to win to so that she could feel closer to her deceased mother. When his film was shown, Dylan only got to see the first part of it, she was so upset by how she was portrayed she ran off. Later, her childhood friend showed her a copy of the film and so John and Dylan was able to make up. Although this movie was made for young teens, I watched the entire thing with DD. We thought it was fun and entertaining, so I think that it would make a great DVD for family movie night.
