Dr. Dreadful Zombie Lab Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

In addition to celebrating Halloween with lots of trick treating, DD also got to make some fun candy with the Dr. Dreadful Zombie Lab. As soon as the package arrived at our home, my husband wanted to open the box to try it out. Even though the Zombie Lab for was DD, her daddy was actually more eager than she was. DH explained that since it was the type of toy he always wanted to play with as a kid, but his parents never bought one for him, so of course now that he had the chance he wanted to try it out.

DD in comparison, although excited, she was also a bit of afraid of it. She commented on how scary it looked and she was certain that she would not like the candy.

After making the candy with her daddy, she got to try the candies/gummies. The instructions are easy to follow, the process is simple and DD had a lot of fun playing with her daddy. Furthermore, much to her surprise, she loved the candy. Out of everything they made, DD's favorite was the spider. She got over her fear of the creepy skull very quickly, lol.

Count Down to Halloween 2011

This past Friday, we had a day full of Halloween fun. In the morning, DD's school had a Halloween event for the kids. To help with the celebration, I made 20 fruit salads inside of craved oranges for the kids. I also put a spider ring in each orange. Although it was time consuming, it was great to see how much DD and her classmates loved the fruit salad. It was a huge hit with the kids for sure :).

As a part of the celebration, the kids walked around the school to show off their costumes in a little parade.

After the parade, the kids went back to their classroom to get ready to pick their pumpkins. 

The school was nice enough to give each kid a pumpkin to take home.

In the afternoon, we went to my husband's work for a trick treating event that his company was hosting.

Since we were there, I just had to get another picture of the kids in front of the statue. Even though we have plenty of pictures of DD with the statue, this was baby G's first photo with it. It was also baby G's first time going to his daddy's work for trick treating.

Gentle Naturals Review and -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

DD had extremely sensitive skin as an infant, so with baby G, I have been very cautious with the types of skin care products I use on him. After all, I don't want baby G to break out in horrible rashes like his sister did. Despite carefully selecting skin care products for baby G, he has been showing signs of eczema. His face has been getting a bit rashy lately, so I have been using Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream to help ease it. 

I noticed that with the Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream, it was thicker than other eczema creams I have tried on baby G. At first I was afraid that because it was thicker, it would be more greasy. Fortunately, that was not the case. Due to its thick consistency, I only needed to use a little bit of it to cover a large surface area. It was not at all greasy and it definitely helped baby G's eczema. 

The second product I received to review was the Eczema Baby Wash. Made with aloe, chamomile and vitamins, it could soothe itching. I thought that scent was nice and pleasant. Just a couple of capfuls was enough for me to clean baby G.

All in all, after trying these products I thought they worked really well with baby G's skin.

Noodle Head Pawparazzi Pet sets Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

I have mentioned before that DD has been asking for a pet. More specifically, she really wants a dog.  We haven't gotten her a pet because we don't know how her allergies will be with a dog in the house (so far she hasn't shown any signs, but this is a girl who had horrible breakouts when we had cats). Furthermore, we just don't think she is old enough and responsible enough to take care of a dog.

Pumpkin City Fun

My friend Bushra and I took the kids to Pumpkin City yesterday. I dressed the kids in their Halloween costumes in the hopes of some cute pictures, but baby G did not want to cooperate. He was really fascinated by wood chips and tried to eat them too.
