JJ Cole Weather-resistant Bundleme Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway-- ENDED

I know I am not the only mom with this problem. When the weather gets cool or cold, I would give my kids blankets to keep them warm. I did that with DD and I am also doing it with baby G. However, it is very common for the kids to accidentally drop their blankets. When that happened to DD, she would either screamed (from being so upset about losing her blanket) or I would run the blanket over with the stroller and making it completely filthy. These are the reasons why I thought Bundleme is such a great idea. 

JJ Cole sent us a weather-resistant Bundleme to review. At first, I thought we probably would not get much use out of it. However, since it gets rather cold when we go for walks at night, this actually turned out to be really useful.

Or you can use it with a stroller.

We are using ours with the stroller.  Bundleme has a removable top for temperature control. As you can see, Bundleme could easily be used with a stroller's safety straps so you could still strap your child in securely while you use the product to keep your child warm.

Bundleme is very comfortable to lay on and it keeps my little guy nice and warm when we go out for walks at night. Because it is not just a loose blanket I place on top of baby G, I don't need to worry about it accidentally getting kicked off or it falling off the stroller.  We will be spending Chinese New Year in Taiwan in 2012, since it is very cold there in the winter, I know that we will be putting this product into good use while we are on vacation as well.

Navitas Naturals Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

We are big on snacking. Every day when DD gets out of school and begins her afternoon lessons of swimming, gymnastics or dancing, she would ask for a snack. Instead giving her unhealthy food, we are always looking for healthy things she could snack on. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty these snacks were. Not only that they taste great, they are also very filling. Kicking Horse Coffee Review and Giveaway -- ENDED

I normally buy my coffee beans from coffee shops so I haven't heard of Kicking Horse Coffee until I recently discovered that my local supermarket carries it. I really like that their organic coffee beans are grown in the shade of the rain forest. Since I am always looking for companies that provide eco-friendly products, I knew I had to try Kicking Horse Coffee.

I love that the coffee beans come in a can. It has been so many years since I bought coffee beans in a can. I love that the can helps keep the coffee beans fresh for longer period of time. Even though I do have air tight containers for my coffee beans, but I only have one, so that means if I open up another bag of coffee beans before using up all of the first one, I would have to leave them in the bag. With the Kicking Horse coffee beans, that's not something I have to worry about. Another great thing about the can is that I can reuse it for something else or I can recycle it.

I normally don't like dark roast coffee, but I actually really like the aroma of the one I got from Kicking Horse Coffee. I found the coffee to be very flavorful and smells wonderful in the morning. There is nothing like a nice strong cup of coffee to get you going in the morning. After sending DD to school and DH has left for work, I love sitting down with my cup of coffee and check my emails or watch baby G play in his activity walker.

DD has been watching SpongeBob SquarePants for a couple of years now. She still loves watching the show and she just adores anything with SpongeBob SquarePants on it. That is why she was especially excited when Patch sent her Design ‘N’ Doodle Toy with SpongeBob SquarePants to review.

Timmy Time: Hide And Seek is a fun DVD for preschoolers. The episodes are about Tummy's life with his friends. In "Timmy Tries to Hide," Timmy attempts to hide but a little pig follows him everywhere and gave away Timmy's hiding spot. In "Timmy Gets the Job Done," Timmy kept on getting in trouble. But in the end, he got the job done and was rewarded accordingly. "Timmy Goes Bang" is about Timmy and his classmates turning a raining day into a fun jam session. In "Timmy Wants the Beret," Timmy wants Ruffy's beret and tries to get a hold of it. Last but not least, in "Timmy Afloat," Timmy's class makes boats and things did not go well for Timmy since he had to give up the boat to little owl. All in all, a fun movie that's entertaining for preschoolers.

Devyn Bag Review

Now that baby G is eating solid food, when we are out I need to pack food for him. To make sure that the baby food I make every morning stays fresh for my little guy, I actually pack his food in a lunch bag with an ice pack. I then pack the lunch bag  into my diaper bag. You can probably imagine what a hassle this is for me, that's why I think the Devyn Bag is such a wonderful idea. 

This diaper bag is large enough to store everything I need for baby G when we are out. It has compartments for his bottles, cloth diapers, baby wipes and changes of clothes,  But, my favorite part about this bag is the insulated cooler compartment.I am able to pack baby G's food and DD's snacks right into the diaper bag without using a separate lunch bag. Although I think this bag is great for daily use, I am extra appreciative of its insulated cooler compartment when I take the kids to Disneyland. Since I pack lunches/ snacks for them, it is nice to be able to carry everything in just one bag.

Besides the fact that this diaper bag is very functional, I also like that it is very lightweight and it is not so girly that my husband would be embarrassed to use it. My husband watches baby G when I take DD to Chinese school every week, so the fact that he likes this bag also means that I don't need to transfer baby G's stuff from one diaper bag to another. Finally, a bag that both of us can appreciate.

This year is the very first year that DD actually has her own opinion when it comes to her Halloween costume. She requested for a mermaid costume and JustKidCostumes.com generously fulfilled her wish and sent her this cute costume to wear. 

DD received a size small mermaid costume to review. Although the shipping time took longer than I expected, I thought the ordering process was really easy. The quality of the mermaid costume is much better than what I had seen in stores, She already tried it on and the costume fits her perfectly. DD is very excited about wearing the mermaid costume for Halloween. I like that even after Halloween is over, she will still be able to wear it for dress up around the house when she has friends over for playdates.

Baby Magic Review

When it comes to baby G, I am always looking for gentle skin care products for him. As a mother, I want to make sure the products I use on him work well on his skin. Baby Magic sent us a couple of products to review.  I received a bottle of gentle baby lotion along with a hair body wash for my little guy.

I like that these products do not have any overwhelming scents. The scents are very light and smell pleasant as well. Both products work well on baby G's skin and they leave him extra hug-able after each bath time.

Prince LionHeart Woody The Rocking Horse Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

My mother-in-law loves telling me the story about my husband and his beloved rocking horse, Rocky. I have heard the story many times and every time I hear the story I would wonder if my kids will ever love a rocking horse as much as my husband did. Apparently my husband had a rocking horse as a toddler. He loved his rocking horse so much that he spent hours riding it every day. One day my mother-in-law found my husband in his room crying because he rode his Rocky so hard that he actually broke his rocking horse. I found the story both funny and sad. I mean, come on, he was only a few years old!

DD (who is about 45 lbs right now) rode the rocking horse for me to make sure that it could withstand the abuse and weight of a large child, and it passed the test with flying colors.

Baby G is tall enough for the rocking horse, but he is too young for it. So for the time being, he only gets to ride it with his sister's help along with mommy's strict supervision.

Memorex Party Cube Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

 

I can’t tell you how excited I was to be able to review the Memorex Party Cube.  I’ve been looking for a portable sound system for my iPhone since my last product was not compatible with my iPhone 4. When I clean my house or do any other labor intensive job, like washing dishes =), I like to have music playing to pass the time faster.  I wanted something compact, but not so small that I couldn’t play my music at a decent enough volume to be able to hear it throughout a couple of rooms in the house and this product looked promising. 

The Memorex Party Cube offers two different universal iPhone docks, one for the iPhone 3G/3GS and one for the iPhone 4.  I wouldn’t recommend actually installing either dock if you have a case on your iPhone or iPod.  It won’t sit on the Party Cube correctly, so I just left the universal dock off and used it without it and it works perfectly fine.  

Like most sound systems for iPods/iPhones, you can control the iPod/iPhone on the actual iPod/iPhone itself or through the controls on the Party Cube.  I love that the volume control is a knob rather than a button or two to increase or decrease the volume.  With a volume knob, I can quickly turn the music up or down with much more ease than pressing on a button.  The multi-directional speakers are another great feature that really helps fill the room with music.  My oldest daughter said, “It sounds like surround-sound in here…its awesome!”  

The LCD backlit display makes it easy to see during the day or night.  The unit can also play AM/FM radio stations and includes wire antennas to help you get the best reception.  Although there is no place to store the antennas on the unit, they are small enough to wrap up and stow away in your house or car and it won’t take up too much space at all. 

My favorite feature is the fact that you can either plug this unit into an outlet or you can bring it with you wherever you go.  When using the AC adapter, you can actually charge your iPod/Iphone when it’s docked on the Party Cube.  The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is so convenient and lasts 4-6 hours on continuous play.  I love not having to buy batteries that you’ll end up throwing in the trash much sooner than you anticipated.  Plus the lithium-ion battery is so light-weight, it doesn’t weigh down the sound system with a bunch of heavy C or D batteries.  The Party Cube will definitely be packed on our next beach or camping trip and I know we will be using it for many games of Freeze Dance with the kids.  So if you’re looking for a compact, surround sound, light-weight sound system for your iPod or iPhone, the Memorex Party Cube is worth a try.

Barbie Princess Charm School Party Review

There is something special about Barbie that captures all little girls' imagination. As such, there is nothing better than using something that they love to teach them valuable lessons. We were lucky enough to have received a party pack to host a Barbie tea party for DD and her little friends. Instead of meeting at our house, where there isn't enough seating for all her friends to have a proper tea party, we met up at a local restaurant where the girls got to wear their crowns, check  out the Barbie manner list as well as enjoy a tea party on some cute Barbie placemats  we received.

The girls had a wonderful time, because really, who does not love Barbie? This is one of the many pictures I took of the kids. Unfortunately, as you might recall, my laptop died on me last month. My computer tech guy was able to retrieve most the photos and data off my hard drive, but the images from the party we had could not be retrieved and this was the only one we got :(. But I can assure that the girls had a wonderful time and they were all very eager to act like "princesses" and behave accordingly (with good manners, of course).

We got to watch the Barbie Princess Charm School DVD after the party and DD loved the movie. She also got the Barbie dolls from Barbie Princess Charm School collection and so she was extra trilled with it all. I actually even watched the Barbie Charm School DVD with her. I was pleasantly surprised by how the movie was well made and it discussed important values like having "character" is just as important as having good/appropriate manners. The movie is also about friendships, forgiveness and showing grace. Over in all, a great movie I would recommend to parents without any hesitation.
