Disney's HAVE A LAUGH: Volumes 3 & 4 DVDs Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment releases HAVE A LAUGH: Volumes 3 & 4 on DVD! Classic shorts featuring Mickey, Donald, Goofy & Pluto are fully restored and re-mastered! Both volumes also include brand new "Re-MICKS" features, which are comprised of modern musical hits under classic cartoon clips!

Released June 14th, Disney's "HAVE A LAUGH" Volumes 3 & 4 bring you classic cartoons that are sure to entertain your child. Besides Mickey Mouse Club House, DD actually has never seen these cartoons before, so she was really excited about watching them. In Volume 3, her favorite episode was goofy playing baseball in the World Series. She also liked watching Pluto chasing a gopher through the garden and then through out the house. In volume 4, DD thought it was really funny when Donald Duck caught on fire while he was doing the hula dance, she also liked watching Goofy going surfing on the beach and trying to get the surf board out of his clothes. These DVDs definitely kept my daughter entertained and laughing, even I enjoyed watching them with her.

Mommy's Touch Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

In addition to loving pocket diapers, we are also fans of AIO diapers. Mommy's Touch sent us a diaper to try out with baby G and we were excited to try out this particular AIO because we really like the way that we could adjust the inserts.

The diaper came with 3 sets of inserts so that we just need to change out the inserts and not the cover. Each set of inserts came in different size and shape. Depending on where your baby wets the most, you could fold it accordingly. Since baby G is a front wetter, so we folded our inserts to toward the front to give his diaper plenty of absorbency.
Mommy's Touch cloth diaper is folded a little differently from other snap diapers. When I first got my review diaper, I was a little confused, but after I read the instruction on the website, I was able to adjust it to a smaller setting for baby G.
Here's baby G's behind. The cute jean design print on his diaper is adorable. It is so cute that I don't put shorts or pants over it -- which works out really well because it has been pretty hot.
The Mommy's Touch Cloth Diaper fits baby G really nicely right now on the smallest setting, but I think that it would have been too large for him if he was lighter in weight (he is 16 lbs right now). Even though the diaper fits him very snugly to prevent any possible leaks, it does not leave red rings on his legs or tummy. This is a diaper that's cute and works well.

Toddle Bugz Leg Warmers Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I love putting leg warmers on baby G, it makes changing his diapers so much easier. Since it is hot during the day, he has been wearing just diapers and a shirt, but at night, I would put the leg warmers on him to keep him warm. I I have been shopping and buying different leg warmers, but I haven't gotten anything as soft as the bamboo leg warmers form Toodle Bugz.
Here's a picture of baby G with his leg warmers on. The leg warmers are sooo soft and so comfortable to wear. His smile just says it all! This is one of my favorite leg warmers for baby G.
The leg warmers stay on really well, they don't slide down but they aren't so tight that they leave red rings on baby G's legs. I also got a really cute pair for DD to review as well, but the girl can't keep them on for some reason -- she keeps on putting them on and taking them off like they are some sort of dress up accessory, lol.

All in all, I love these leg warmers for my kids. The quality is impressive and the price is reasonable as well.

Aerin Rose Swimwear Review

Have you purchase a swim suit online or from a catalog thinking that it looks great on the model and it will look good on you as well, then when you try on the swimsuit it is no where close to what you imagine it would look like on you? Like most women, I don't have a body that resembles the swimsuit model's at all. More often than not, I found that I look horrible in the swimsuit I purchased. However, I recently received some swimwear from Aerin Rose to review and I was impressed.
After trying on the swimwear, my first thought was that the swimwear was clearly made for real women. It fits properly and hides the flaws I don't want exposed. The company makes swimwear in a variety of designs and prints. But, what I like the best about their products is that they fit the real average woman that I see everyday.

The swimsuit I received to review is definitely one of my favorites. If you have a hard time finding the right fit when it comes to swimwear, I recommend checking out Aerin Rose.

Our Review
Although DD knows who Thomas the Train is and even played with the toys when she goes to the toy store, but this is actually our first Thomas DVD. Out all of the episodes, DD's favorite was "A Blooming Mess." The story is about Emily collecting flowers and wanting to decorate with the flowers to make her sad friend happy. Thomas accidentally crashed into the flowers and made a mess. Emily ended up making her friend happy by cleaning up the mess. DD like that this episode shows the different ways to bring a smile to a friend's face. This is a great DVD about friendships and teamwork.

Our review:
DD grew up watching a lot of Barney. In fact, we have purchased many Barney DVDs for her to watch in the car when we go on long trips. DD loves watch Barney because she loves learning and singing along with the purple dinosaur. Barney: 1-2-3 Learn DVD teaches kids alphabets, shapes and number through different fun activities. DD especially enjoys the part when the kids go through the park identifying different shapes. Although DD already knows her numbers, alphabets and shapes, she still liked watching this DVD because she loves singing along with Barney. I like that Barney's interaction with the kids is always positive and up beat. This is a great DVD for little ones.

Lil' Teammates Review & 3 Giveaways -- ENDED

This review and giveaway is for your sports fans out there. My husband is not a big sports person (but you can ask him anything about video games). I think I actually have watched more sporting events than my husband. When it came time to pick my review products from Lil Teammates, I chose the LA Lakers. I got this for my cousin Scott who is a huge fan of the Lakers. He has been collecting LA Lakers mechanise since he was in elementary school, so I thought this would make a great gift for him. I actually just mail this back to Taiwan for him so that he can display it on his desk at work.
The second product I selected was NY Giants. It was my grandfather and my father's favorite football team. I remembered watching many Monday night football games with them when I was a young teen, so I chose this. I have it on display in baby G's bedroom. I am hoping that when he is grown, he will share his grandfather's love of NY Giants.

For small figures, I thought they are very well made. They make great display items. Although they also look like fun toys for the kids to play with, I decided to put them on baby G's bedroom shelf as display figures (they look great in a little boy's room). Charlesbridge Books Review

The new 2011 Fall books are now available at Charlesbridge. We are a family that loves books so we were excited to get new books and add them to DD's ever growing library. The first book we received to review was Santa's New Jet. The story is told from Santa's perspective. Santa's reindeer were too out of shape to fly his sleigh, but the elves built him a jet in time to deliver all of the gift. Santa had a lot of problems with his new jet, luckily the reindeer arrived in time to help Santa deliver all of the toys. We thought the story was really cute and the art is adorable as well. Last Christmas we decided to begin a new tradition. After we put out our Christmas tree, we are going to place all of the holiday related books under it. Then the kids will get to pick what they want to Daddy to read to them under the Christmas tree every night before they go to bed. We already purchased some Christmas books last December and we are excite to have gotten this fun new book to add to our little collection.
Teddy Bear Math is a wonderful book to use as a tool to teach your kids basic math. Through simple descriptions, the book is able to captured and express the basic concepts behind addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We used gummy bears to work through the book with her. However, because DD kept on eating the gummy bears, we realized that it was not a good idea. So we printed out some teddy bear images to do the math with her and that is working out much better.
Me and My Dragon is an children's book about how a little boy wants a dragon and the different things he would like to do with his dragon. For instance, he would read to his dragon pet every night, hug him every day and walk him at least once a day. The illustration is wonderful. DD loves the way the dragon looks. She has been asking for a pet dragon so I feel like this book was written just for her. All in all, it is a great book for any child who dreams about having a pet.
Last but not least, DD also received the Robot Drawing Book to review. DD loves drawing things. She spends hours drawing different objects every day. This book offers very basic step by step directions on how to draw different robots. It is easy enough for a preschooler to follow but it also contains advanced/ additional drawing tips for older kids so that they could modify and create their own robot images. This is a great book for the little artist in your home. We love this book so much that we will be picking up other books by this author.

Dog Collar Boutique Review

I was asked to review the Dog Collar Boutique. Although I do not have a dog, but my sister in law has one so I thought it would be nice to review this for her. The company sent me a dog leash to review.
The dog leash was packaged really well (in cute paw prints gift wrapping papers). Upon opening the package, I was pleasantly surprised by by thick and sturdy the dog leash is. I think it will be perfect for my sister in law's large dog.

Having never shopped for a dog before, I was surprised by the variety of large dog collars, dog ID tags, and dog toys the company offers. It seems that no matter the size of your dog or what sort of design you are looking for, this online shop has it. Carmen Guedez Art Prints Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I was contacted by Carmen Guedez to review her art prints. I must admit that I was hesitant at first. I think art is such a personal and subjective thing. Furthermore, although I have taken a few art history courses during my college years, I definitely do not know enough to critique anyone's work. However, after checking out her website, I decided to review and host a giveaway of her work because I do like her art. I might not be an expert in the field of arts, but I do know what I like, and I find her art to be very interesting.
Carmen sent me the above 2 prints to review. I was impressed by the packaging as well as the quality of the prints. My review prints arrived in mint condition and I thought that her customer service was superb (she emailed me to let me know she had shipped out the prints as well as to make sure I was satisfied with them).

Between the construction and the unpacking of boxes, I haven't gotten the chance to frame the prints yet, but I am really looking forward to doing it because I already know exactly where I will be hanging these prints. I did opened the package to inspect the quality of these prints and of course I was also curious on how the prints look in person. I was not disappointed! If you are on a limited budget (like me), but you still want to decorate your home with beautiful art work then buying a print is a great option you might want to consider. If I had the money, I would love to buy some original painting for my home, but since that's not possible, I like having prints so that I can still enjoy looking at the art work.
