Little Partners The Learning Tower Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

We love The Learning Tower by Little Partners. All of our friends know how much we love it and how frequently we use it in our home, and that's why we are especially excited to bring you this review and giveaway.

If you don't know what the learning tower is, then you will want one after you see how useful it is. The learning tower is a piece of furniture made from highest-quality layered birch wood. We store it in our kitchen. It provides the safety and versatility you will not be able to find in traditional step stools.

The learning tower comes with a wide 15" X 18" platform that allows DD to move about without slipping off a step. As you can see from the photos, it has 4 sides, so once DD climbs in, she is well protected. I don't have to worry about her falling out.

The platform is adjustable to your child's height so that she/he can work comfortably on your kitchen counter top. DD loves to bake cookies and cook dinners with me, so having the learning tower in my kitchen has been very helpful.

The learning tower retails for $199. It is a bit pricey, but once you see the it in person you will understand why. The learning tower is very sturdy and can hold up to 500 lbs of weight. You are definitely getting a piece of high quality furniture here. As you can imagine, if the learning tower can hold 2 preschoolers in it comfortably, it must be a fairly large piece of furniture. I would say that the learning tower is not for someone with a small kitchen, you will need to have good amount of room to store it. For us, luckily our kitchen is large enough to store the learning tower in the corner of it. It is pretty heavy so it is not easy to move. However, because it is so heavy, you don't have to worry about it tipping over with your child in it or worry about your child pushing it over.

DD enjoys cooking and baking with me, and I love that I am able to spend quality time with her in the kitchen this way. The learning tower has allowed DD to cook with me side by side. With it, I know that I don't have to worry about DD falling and hurting herself-- which is very important to me. The learning tower is also a great item to have because sometimes I have friends over for cooking playdates and the kids can get in it and help the mommies at the same time.

Smarcks Smart Blocks: Learning Special Talking Building Blocks Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I am a fan of building blocks. I bought a lot of them for DD when she was a toddler. She spent hours and hours playing with them. I love that they allowed DD to use her imagination as well as help with her hands-to- eyes coordination. I don't know about other kids, but DD loved her building blocks so much that she used to take them to bed with her every night. I always thought it was odd that while other kids were sleeping with stuffed animals, DD was holding onto her building blocks in her sleep.

At 5 years old, DD still playing with building blocks and I hope that some day baby G will be playing them with his big sister. Unlike most of the toys that are just part of the what's hot or popular at the moment, building blocks are toys could be enjoyed and played with for a long time. As such, we are excited to have received a complete set of building blocks from Smarck to review. Unlike the other building blocks DD used to play with, Smarcks offers smart blocks that teaches counting, shapes, ABC and math while the kids play. It is a great way to teach kids basic information/knowledge while they play. The building blocks from Smarcks are large in size so that you don't have to worry about them being a chocking hazard for your kids (especially with the little ones who like to put everything in their mouths). DD enjoys playing with her new blocks and I know that these block will be safe around baby G until he is old enough to play with them himself.

Just Natural Organic Care Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

Not all organic skincare products are the same. I have tried some organic skin care products that I just don't care for. But, with Just Natural Organic Care products, I have no complaints. The company sent us 3 products to review and we were happy with every single one of the them. For my husband, he received the Island Breeze soap to review. The soap had a clean scent that's great for men.

I received the Paradise soap to review. The soap had a really pleasant sweet fruit scent that's not overpowering. It left me skin soft and moisturized.

While we really loved the soaps we received to review, I loved the Natural Peppermint Foot Lotion even more. I received the lotion to review while I was still pregnant and my feet needed a lot of pampering. One of my favorite things to do is to rubbed my feet with the foot lotion after shower and before going to bed each night. I loved that the lotion was so soothing for my feet.

Eve Organics Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I don't wear a lot of makeup, but when I do, eye shadow and lip gloss are essential to me. Eve Organics sent me some to try out and these products were exactly what I wanted. The first product I received was their natural lip gloss. I prefer lip gloss over lipstick but more often than not, I found lip gloss either don't stay on for very long or it tastes artificial. The lip gloss I received from Eve Organics has a nice shim to it. It is easy to apply and does not feel greasy on my lips.

Dezign with a Z Review & 30 Dollars Gift Card Giveaway -- ENDED

I am always looking for ways to decorate our home and the kids' rooms. While the baby does not have much say in how his room is decorated (since he is only an infant after all), DD wants all things girly girl for her room. Umi Children's Shoes Spring Collection Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

Last summer, DD wore her favorite pair of sandals almost daily. It was a pair of silver color sandals made by Umi. The color matched well with most of her summer clothes, they were easy to DD to put on and take off by herself; most importantly, they were really comfortable to wear.

DD has been wearing Umi shoes for years now -- since before she learned how to walk actually. I used to search high and low at our local boutique shops looking for Umi shoes for her. From when she was an infant to when she became a preschooler, she owned and wore a number of Umi shoes. While she loves them because they are comfortable, I love them because the designs are so cute.

Artiwood Letters Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

Artiwood Letters offers wooden letters in 5 different designs to help you decorate a kid's door or room. The 5 themes you can choose from are Animal alphabet letters, Fairy alphabet letters, Dinosaur alphabet letters, Dolphin alphabet letters and Koala alphabet letters.

Once you select the theme you like, you can input your child's name to get an image what the entire set would look like. For a little boy, I like the dinosaur design.

If you have a little girl, the fairy design is really cute.

Each letter is only about 3.5" talls. While they are smaller than the typical wooden letters you see in the stores, I thought they are the perfect size for doors, toy boxes, step stools or desks. I still haven't decide how I am going to use the letters I received to review yet. I am thinking maybe using them to decorate the baby's dresser.

Baby G's 1 Month Old Party

Last Friday I had a party for baby G. In Chinese culture, a baby turning 1 month old is considered a huge milestone for both the baby and the parents -- this probably has to do with the low survival rate of infants in traditional China. It's so hard to believe that a month went by already. Frankly, I am surprised by how little sleep I could live with and also by how awesome the baby is. Baby G is without a doubt a much easier baby to deal with than DD was. He only cries when he is hungry and is not at all colicky like DD was.

In addition to celebrating baby G turning 1 month old, we are also excited about the kids' bedrooms being completed. The construction on our home has taken many months and it has finally come to stop for the time being. We have completely remodeled the inside of our home and construction will pick up later this year ( to work on our front yard and driveway). Anyhow, here's the photos of the kids' bedrooms.

She has a TV and a little pink sofa in her bedroom too. Grandma and grandpa bought her a piano so that will go into her room later this week.

Baby G's bedroom. He is using DD's old furniture. When he is old enough to move to a big boy bed we will buying him new stuff then. For now, this is good enough. And, yes, that is a TV in baby G's room. Lol, no the TV is not for the baby, it is for me to watch when I was in there with the baby.

Baby G also inherited DD's old dinosaur toy. Lucky for him that his sister loves boy stuff like dinosaurs and robots, so he gets plenty of hand me downs that way.

Everything is organized. We have baby clothes for him from size o-3 months up to 2t.

We had a wonderful and fun party. We got to eat great food, everyone got to hold baby G, and my friend bought some really cute clothes, shoes and toys for him to celebrate his big day. He is one very spoiled little guy!
