I cleaned out my drawer of makeup. I don't know how long I had kept my old makeup, but there was no doubt in my mind that they had expired. It was hard throwing out so much of my makeup because I spent good money on them, but I also knew that they were most likely not safe to use on my skin because they have been sitting in my bathroom drawer for what seemed like years now. Bring Home The Baby

Last Tuesday night my water broke around 9 PM. I did not have any contractions so I showered, gave DD a bath, brushed DD's teeth and got her ready for bed. Around 11:30, my contractions started, so I got DD out of bed and then we took her to my friend Nancy's house to spend the night there. DH drove me to the hospital and by the the time we got there, the contractions were pretty bad. Around 2 in the morning, I finally got my epidural after being admitted at midnight. I was exhausted and with the help of epidural, I actually fell asleep until about 5 in the morning. The baby arrived at 6:28 February 23rd Wednesday morning. When he arrived, he was 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. I thought that he looks more Asian than DD did when she was born. But he definitely has his sister's lips and long eye lashes.

We spent Wednesday night at the hospital and came home on Thursday afternoon. Here's Baby G's coming home outfit. It was his first time in a car seat and in a car :).

Baby G has all of his fingers and toes (yay!). He is a pretty clam baby. DD is very excited about having her baby brother home, but she is still trying to get used to the fact that she is no longer the center of the universe at our home. So far, she has been a pretty awesome big sister. She tells everyone how cute he is and how much she loves him.

Now that we are home, we are trying to get used to a brand new schedule and making adjustments for the new baby. My husband is taking at least 2 week paternity leave from his work to stay home with us. What an awesome husband! He has been so helpful with baby (diaper changes in the middle of the night and holding the baby when he starts crying), and he has also been great with DD (driving her to swimming lessons, gymnastic lessons, school and birthday parties).

That's not all... After we came home from the hospital on Thursday, my friend Nancy came by with a yummy dinner for all of us, then one of my MOPS moms came by on Friday to drop dinner off for us. We are feeling very lucky right now and we are definitely counting our lucky stars because we have such awesome, supportive friends.

Construction Part 2: Day 9-12

A lot of work got done on the house while I was away at the hospiital deliving baby G and after we came home as well. I haven't really kept track of all of the work that's been done since the baby has most of my attention right now. Also, to be honest, since I am not getting much sleep, I just don't have to energy to worry about the construction right now.

In any case, the entire balcony outside the kids' bedrooms was removed. New walls were set up and the new windows have been installed. This is what inside of baby G's bedroom looks like. This is what the outside of our house looks like now. new walls and new roof. Yay!

Thymes Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

We love bath and body products at our house. It seems like we go through a lot of them and I am always on the look out for new products we haven't try yet. As such, you can imagine how excited we were when we got to try the Azur Bar Soap and Moonflower Sink Set (lotion and hand soap) from Thymes. As you can see from the photos, these products are very pretty decorative pieces on their own. The bar of soap we received smelled amazing. It had such a nice design on it so I was a bit relent to use it. But in the end, we were glad that we got to try the soap because it was not only pretty to look at, the scent is so refreshing and soap lathered up really well. My husband especially loved this soap because it did not smell girly at all.

I placed the Moonflower Sink Set in our guest bathroom. The set looks classy so we thought it was a great decorative yet functional piece for the bathroom. We love the cinnamon and clove scent as well as the design of the set.

Emani Minerals Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I am in love with Emani Minerals. I love mineral makeups and I have been using them for a couple of years now, but I haven't own anything as pretty as Emani Minerals. I love the way the company packaged their mineral makeups. I received a Mineral Hybrid Cream, a magic concealer, a pressed mineral blush and a pressed mineral foundation to review. The products (except for the magic concealer) came in black compact cases with the company's logo on each one. I love that the cases are chic and stylish without being loud. Of course, just because the packaging is appealing to the eyes, it does not mean the products are great, right? Well, after trying these products, I was impressed. Not only that the colors are very pretty (I am specially in love with my Mineral Hybrid Cream), they look amazing on my skin. Heelys Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

There is nothing like learning how to skate with Heelys HX2 when the little girl is as uncoordinated as they come. DD loves Heelys shoes and she especially loves watching the older girls wearing their Heelys to skate around. She is definitely envious of the older kids and she wishes that she was as good on her Heelys as the other kids. Although she does not skate as well as the other kids, she is having a blast learning how to skate with them on. After wearing her Heelys shoes for awhile, I noticed that she has become more coordinated (more aware of how to move her body so that she could skate properly.) Slowly but surely, she is picking up skating and she loves every minute of it. I love that she is having fun, getting plenty of exercises and learning something new all at the same time. Who would have known a pair of shoes could do so much?!

The new HX2 comes with 2 removable wheels in each shoe to get you up and rolling in no time. Each pair of Heelys comes with the tool and the wheels to get you or your child started. The installation is very easy. The best part is that if you do not want to use the wheels, you or your child could wear them just as they are -- very cute, fashionable shoes. Although I do recommend installing the wheels because that's what makes Heelys shoes fun and unique.

Hydros Bottle Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

It's been a long time since we last purchased water bottles from the store. If I have to guess, I would say that it has been more than 3 years since we last bought a case of water from the supermarket. We made the decision to go green and haven't look back. The first things we did when we decided to go green was made a small investment in reusable water bottles along with some reusable bags. Living in Southern California, I always thought that the water here tasted kind of gross, so I would filtered the water at home and filled up the reusable water bottles for the entire family. Although this has worked really well for us, one of the problems we run into is if DD finishes her water while we are out, then she would not be able to drink filtered water. Hydros Bottle solved that problem for us.

With the filter system as a part of the Hydros Bottle, all I have to do is open the cap and fill the bottle with water to filter it. Baby is here!

Everyone, I gave birth this morning! Baby G is 7 lbs 2 oz. A healthy and happy baby. I will post photos when I get home from the hospitals.
