Like I mentioned before, I love to cook, which means my kitchen gets dirty, I mean D-I-R-T-Y. A lot of the time it seems as though the minute I finish cleaning up the kitchen, it’s time to make another meal and dirty it up, but that’s to be expected when I have three kids and a husband to take care of. Since my kitchen gets so dirty so often, I like to try out different cleaning products to see what works best on what. First I tried Simple Green on my ceramic tile counters (please don’t remind me how much I hate my counters, but we’re renters so we don’t have a say in the type of counters we would like to have in this house). The Simple Green worked great, just like most household cleaners. The difference was the fresh lemon scent it left behind…BONUS!!!
I then decided to try it on my gas cook top. Whoa, I was surprised at how well it did away with the dirt and grime that was caused by my most recent cooking adventure. It wiped away with just a few sprays and a paper towel. Usually, when I spray the cook top with a cleaner, I have to wipe it down with a paper towel and then get a sponge and really put some elbow grease into the job. Again, I was happy with a clean, lemon-scented cook top. Below is just a little sample of some of the dirt I get on my cook top. I don’t think I’d ever show you how bad it really gets, it’s quite embarrassing, but you get the idea!
I also tried the Simple Green on my white kitchen cabinets and white tile and it did a great job on those surfaces as well. Although it didn’t work that well on some stains on my kitchen sink (which I suspect will need bleach anyways) all in all, Simple Green is a great product for household cleaning. It gets the job done and smells great too!
