K'NEX Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway -- ENDED

DD has been a fan of building blocks since she was a toddler. She loves to use her imagination to build different things. Now that she is older, she is constructing more complex objects. We have tried different building blocks before, but for a lot of them, we found them too pricey after calculating out just how many different sets we need to buy. With K'NEX, we are still able to get great building blocks that our kids enjoy but at much more reasonable prices.

We recently received 2 sets of building blocks to review: Talking Elmo Pirate Elmo Building Set and a Value Tube of 900 pieces.
Baby G is too young to be putting the Elmo building set together on his own. However, DD was able to building it for him very quickly. Although it is made for kids at least 2 years old, I like that it came in very large pieces so that DD could play with baby G using these blocks and I don't have to worry about him accidentally swallowing the pieces. This Elmo speaks 2 phases, the kids just need to press on Elmo's head to make him talk.
The Value Tub came with 900 pieces for DD to build whatever she likes. I thought this was a wonderful idea. I like that the tub comes with everything she needs so that I don't need to buy extra sets. This is for kids at least 5 years old. When we opened  the tub, we discovered a lot of small pieces. As such, DD is not allow to play with them when baby G is around. I like that since everything fits nicely in the tub, when she is done playing, she simply puts everything back and snap the lid back on the tub. This way, we don't have to worry about our little guy eating one of those little building blocks.
We thought that the K'NEX building blocks are well made and great for kids. They would make excellent gifts this holiday season. To buy the sets we received to review or to buy other sets, please visit the K'NEX online store.

Many thanks to K'NEX. The company has generously offered 1 Talking Elmo Pirate Elmo Building Set as a giveaway prize to one of my lucky readers. This giveaway ends on Nov 25th, 2011.
