Baskin Robbins Cake Bites Review

Baskin-Robbins Unveils New Cake Bites - Elegant, Ready to Serve Treats in Four Unique and Delicious Flavors
Sacramento Residents Can Entertain in Style This Holiday Season or Indulge in a Mini-Treat that Marries Two Dessert Favorites – Ice Cream and Cake – Into a Bite-Sized Package
Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, announces the introduction of its newest culinary creation, Cake Bites - a new taste extravaganza that combines both ice cream and cake in a single serving.  These beautifully presented mini desserts are covered with indulgent ganache and finished with a decorative drizzle of either chocolate or caramel.  Cake Bites cost $2.99 (SRP) individually or are $9.99 (SRP) for a mix-n-match 4-pack and are available in the following four flavors; Double Chocolate, Praline Caramel, Chocolate Mint, and Vanilla Blondie. Cake Bites can be purchased individually or in customizable packages of four at any Baskin-Robbins location.
As the mini-dessert trend continues to grow in popularity across the country, consumers are looking for the ultimate petite treat.   Bite-Sized/Mini Desserts have been a top trend in the National Restaurant Association’s “What’s Hot” Chef’s survey for the past five years, and were the #2 trend in the Dessert category in 2011.*
Baskin-Robbins’ Cake Bites, reminiscent of French petit fours, allow consumers to enjoy a satisfying, beautifully decorated, portion-controlled treat.  Cake Bites are the latest miniature offering from Baskin-Robbins following the summer release of its Mini Cones and the recent addition of mini 31Below frozen beverages and Mini Soft Serve Parfaits.
“Cake Bites are perfect for any and every occasion. Consumers always have something to celebrate whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, promotion or holiday and Baskin-Robbins has customizable and ready-made desserts for the occasion,” said Kristen Agin, Baskin Robbins, field marketing manager for Sacramento.  “Cake Bites are a marriage of America’s two favorite desserts, ice cream and cake in one decadent individualized mini dessert.”
Now in Baskin-Robbins stores, consumers can purchase Baskin-Robbins Cake Bites in the following four flavors:
  • Double Chocolate – Chocolate ice cream over chocolate cake, enrobed with chocolate ganache coating, finished with chocolate accent
  • Praline Caramel – Pralines ‘n Cream ice cream over white cake enrobed with white chocolate ganache coating, finished with caramel drizzle & chopped pralines
  • Chocolate Mint – Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream over chocolate cake, enrobed with chocolate ganache coating, finished with white chocolate drizzle
  • Vanilla Blondie – Vanilla ice cream over white cake, enrobed with white chocolate ganache coating, finished with chocolate accent
Cake Bites are available at Baskin-Robbins throughout the country. Customers are advised to pre- order Cake Bites in advance if they are customizing a mix and match box of four and not picking up a pre-made package of one specific flavor.

One of my favorite thing to do is surprising DD by taking her out for ice cream after I pick her up for school. I don't have a set schedule for it, I just do it when we have free time or want a ice cream treat. When we do want ice cream, we always head over to the Baskin-Robbins by our house. While I like to try different favors every time we visit, DD likes to stick with her favorite favors. If you like Baskin-Robbins' ice cream as much as we do, then you have to try them newest creations: cake bites!

These cake bites come in 4 different yummy favors. They are bite size cakes with ice cream in them. We were giving the chance to try all of the favors and I have to say that even though they are all delicious, my favorite was the chocolate mint. DD's favorite was the double chocolate and DH's favorite was the praline caramel.
These treats are so tasty that we think they would be great for holiday parties.

To buy some for your next party or just to as a treat for yourself, please visit your local Baskin-Robbins.
