The Coccoro comes in an assortment of beautifully bright and cheerful colors. It has a removable infant insert for babies less than 15 lbs. Baby G is about 25 lbs right now, so he does not need a infant insert for sure.
What I really like about the car seat is that the latch strap is hidden in a pocket on the right hand side of the car seat. I could either use the latch strap for the latches in my car or the seat belt to secure the car seat. I actually prefer the latch system so that's why I installed baby G's car seat. I did have to loop the latch strap into the car seat for the installation, but the process was easy. After latching the car seat onto the seat, I simply used my weight to help tighten the strap.
This car seat can hold up a child up to 35 lbs in the rear facing position. If your child at least 1 year old and is facing forward, then it can hold up to 40 lbs. Baby G is only 4 months away from facing forward, so I think this car seat is the perfect transition car seat for him until he is ready for a booster seat a couple of years from now.
The only downside to this car seat is that it does not come with a canopy. Since I have tinted windows, the fact that it does not come with a canopy is not an issue for me. If you really want a canopy to help block out the sun, I would recommend getting the shuttle 33 infant car seat and use that until your child needs a car seat for forward facing, then you can pick up the Coccoro.
All in all, we love the Coccoro car seat for our little man. It comes in a variety of nice cheerful colors. It is light weight. It is easy to install and compact enough for smaller size cars. You simply can't go wrong with this car seat.
