Jacob Bromwell Popcorn Popper Review & -Rafflecopter- Giveaway

My husband and my daughter love popcorn. It is something that I have a hard time keeping stock in the house. They eat them as quickly as I buy them. I actually thought about making my own popcorn machine many months ago, but I just did not get a chance to pick up one up. Then, I received a Popcorn Popper from Jacob Bromwell to review.
To be honest, my husband thought this was a horrible idea in the beginning. He commented that popcorn made in the microwave is one of those wonderful inventions that's just meant to be. When I made my first batch of popcorn, he did not even want to try it. However, once he realized that I am not buying any more popcorn that he could make in the microwave, he gave in and tried some the next time I made it.He was surprised by how much he loved the popcorn I made with the Popcorn Popper, I actually expected him to love them so I was not at all shock by his response.

To make the popcorn, I used 1/3 cup of corn kernels and about 3 tablespoons of organic coconut oil (the direction calls for 2 tablespoons of oil but I used 3 because my family loves the taste of coconut). It only takes a couple of minutes for the corn to pop. After they are done, I would sprinkle a bit of coarse sea salt on them.

I must admit that this is not as easy as putting a bag into the microwave and wait for the corns to pop. On the other hand, it is definitely less work than I anticipated.  From beginning to end (including the time it takes for me to wash the Popcorn Popper), I would say that it takes me about 10 minutes. Now, the big questions are, "Is it worth the time and effort?" and "Will we go back to store bought microwave popcorn?" Since we had been using it for over a month now, it is looking like we will never buy microwave popcorn again. Because with the homemade popcorn, we know exactly what ingredients were used and we can adjust the favors to our liking. Honestly, I don't know where else we could get popcorn made with organic coconut oil. I don't use butter with our popcorn, so it is certainly healthier than the store bought popcorn. We have fallen in love with the Popcorn Popper and it is here to stay for sure.

Although I use the popcorn popper on my stove top, you can also use it in your fireplace or at a campfire as well. This product is made today just like it was made almost 200 years ago. We love that our Popcorn Popper has its place in American History.

To buy yourself a Popcorn Popper, please visit the Jacob Bromwell website.

Many thanks to Jacob Bromwell. The company has generously offered 1 Popcorn Popper as a giveaway prize to one of my lucky readers. This giveaway ends on Oct 4th, 2011.
