DD loves to draw. She colors and draws daily. We have a huge box of coloring and drawing supplies for her. She is very good about about keeping crayons and markers in her boxes (one in her bedroom and one in the living room), but I noticed that when she has friends over for playdates, her and her friends would leave the crayons and markers all over the floor, then if someone steps on a crayon and rubs it into the carpet I would spend hours trying to get it out. To avoid addition work for me I have been asking her to put her crayons and markers away and only use them outdoors when she has friends over. If the kids want to color in the house, I would bring out the Aquadoodle for them.
The aquadoodle mat is large enough for 2 kids to draw on. I like that you just fill up the little pen with water. There is no worry about the kids coloring on the carpet or on the walls. I also like that once the water dries, the kids get to draw on the mat all over again so that's saving us a lot of papers.
DD also received aquadoodle doodle buddy to review. DD likes it because it is very cute and I like that it is small enough so that she can take with her when we go on long car rides. Using it means that i don't have to worry about melted crayons in my car or markers rolling on the floor of my car either. Here's a photo of DD with her doodle buddy. She started drawing on its tummy so you can see what it looks like.
