Hayneedle Clek Oobr Booster Car Seat Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

Our love affair with car seats began before DD was even born. I remembered being pregnant with her and spending hours upon hours doing research online looking through infant car seat travel systems to find one that's within my budget and decent quality. I ended up adding the car seat and the stroller I wanted to my baby shower gift registry and my friends bought them for me. After using them for only a few months, I realized what a big mistake I made. I went with a brand that I often see other moms using, but I found the stroller to be very bulky and hard to push and the infant car seat to be too heavy to move in and out of my car frequently. Since then, I have been on a mission to find just the right car seat and the right stroller. Now that DD is older and needing a booster car seat, my new mission had been researching booster seats and finding just the right one for her. Since my bad experience with the infant car seat 5 years ago, I did not trust my friends' recommendations or reviews. Instead, I went in the stores to check out booster seats in person. I even went as far as taking DD with me on these trips to have her sit on them and test them out in the stores. I know it sounds crazy, but DD tried the couple of booster car seats that my mommy friends recommended, and as soon as she sat on them, she complained that they made her butt hurt because they have no cushion on them what so ever. Seriously, who wants to sit on a hard piece of plastic. I know I don't, especially when we have to make the hour drive to visit my in laws, I am sure that can't be comfortable for her.

Of course, the booster car seats we tried out in the store were priced less than $50. Although they were cheaper than the Clek Oobr booster car seat we received from Hayneedle to review, I just could not see myself spending money on something I know she would hate and refuse to use once we get it home. Sometime ago, we got a Clek Ozzi booster car seat for my husband's car and we love it. So, when we were given the chance to work with Hayneedle to do a review and host a giveaway, we decided to try the Clek Oobr Booster Car seat.

The booster car seat we received to review turned out to be everything we have hoped for and more. Like the other booster seats offered by Clek, the Clek Oobr booster car seat comes with the latch system, which we LOVE! With it, it literally takes me less than 1 minute to install it or to unlatch her booster seat to move it to another vehicle.

The booster car seat comes with a removable back. You can use it as a backless car seat, but we decided to leave the back in to give DD extra protection in case of an accident -- the head set and the back frame will help protect DD in impact collisions.

DD loves her new booster car seat. She said that she likes having the monkey on her back, lol. The seat is very comfortable with nice cushions for her bottom, and although the head set is supposed to protect her head during a collison, it also functions as a great a head rest for her when she needs to/ wants to nap in the car on long trips. One of her favorite feature is the drink holder. She loves that she is able to have her drink next to her when we go places.

This booster car seat can be used for a child up to 100 lbs and 57 inches so that I know we will be able to use it for years to come. All in all, we do not have a single bad thing to say about the booster car seat. We absolutely love it and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Although $300 might seem pricey, but we feel that the price definitely reflect the quality of the booster car seat.
