I have several shopping cart covers. I tried using them when DD was an infant. While it worked well enough, I find it to be kind of a pain after awhile. DD, being the messy girl she was and still is, constantly spilled juice, milk and food on the shopping cart covers, so I was always washing them. When I bring it into the house to wash it, I would then forget to take it back out and put in my car (that's how I ended with two). After using the shopping carts covers for sometime, I thought that it was more pain than it was worth. So I gave up and stopped using the covers. Instead, I just made sure that DD's hands were properly sanitized after she touched the shopping cart.

Although DD is 4 years old, she refuses to give up her stroller and still wants to sit in the shopping cart all the time. I thought that there had to be a better solution than the traditional shopping cart cover and that' s where Precious Ideas' Li'l Shopper came in. In any case, I tried it with DD and it was a instantly hit. Although she loves sitting in the shopping cart, but I noticed that she has been complaining that the shopping cart hurts her butt while she sits in it. Stylin' Mealtime "Must Haves" for Hipster Babies Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I used to carry disposable placemats and bib with me in my diaper bag all the time. Then I would take the bib out to wash it and then I would forget to put the bib back in my diaper bag. Do you start to get the picture here? I don't know if many moms are as forgetful as I was, but I sure forgot things a lot, lol. I recently received a complete set of must have items for meal time, and I think they are great.

The first product was a book of Bibs to Go by DwellStudio. The book has 20 bibs that are water resistant. They are disposable and have the cutest designs on them. To use the bib, you just need to remove a bib from the pad/book and place the bib around your child's neck. The second product I received was the Are You Eating Something Green? color and learn placemats. I actually have used dispoable placemats in the past. But I think these are way better because they are made of paper so they are more eco-friendly. Each placemat has 2 sides. On the front, you can a cute design of fruits and vegetables so your child can learn all about them. In the back of each placemat is where your child can color. The placemats are not big, about half the size of a traditional placemat. so, I would not recommend this for an older child. I think it's better to use it with a young toddler who is using a smaller plate/bowl.

Last not not least, I also received the Eat Books By DwellStudio. The book is a great way to keep your child entertained while he/she is waiting for the meal.

All in all, I think these 3 products are great for meals out with your baby. They actually fit into my backpack style diaper bag pretty easily.

Food Should Taste Good Review and Giveaway -- ENDED

Food should taste good and they sure do at the Food Should Taste Good company. We received a huge box of all of their products to try and I am pretty sure DH thought that he had gone to heaven when the chips arrived. He was so excited that he opened up 2 bags right away (even though there was no way that he could have finished either bag on his own). But he was so excited by the lime and the olive favored ones, he had to try them right away. Well, I have to admit that we were skeptical at first. Would you think that chips that are gluten free, all natural, trans fat free, cholesterol free, lactose free, msg free and kosher would taste good? Frankly, it all sounds a bit too healthy to me to taste good. We tried the chips and we have officially declared these chips to be the BEST CHIPS EVER! Honestly, we have tried all of the chips (on their own as well as trying them with a variety of dips) and they were sooooo good that we are completely sold. We could never buy another brand of chips again!
After trying all of the favors (and we loved them all), DH's favorites were the Olive and the Lime. My favorite was the sweet potato and DD's favorite was the chocolate-- she ate almost the entire bag by herself.
I can't even express to you how much my family LOVE the chips we received from Food Should Taste Good . We are impressed by the taste as well as the quality. Without any doubt, we will be buying more chips from the company for sure!

Friis Stainless Steel Coffee Canister Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I drink coffee every morning and because I enjoy coffee so much, I have an assortment of coffee beans and ground coffee at home. Sometime ago, I brought some canisters to store my coffee beans and ground coffee. As far as I could tell, they were working great. Then, I received a friis stainless steel coffee canister to review. I ended up transporting my favorite vanilla nut coffee beans into the canister to give it a try. I was really surprised by what a difference it made. Local Boy Bakery Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

We love eating yummy food. Ok, who doesn't right?! Local Boy Bakery sent us an assortment of their products to try out and we love them all! Of course, that's not to say that we don't have our favorites. DD thought that all of the cookies she tried were yummy (being 4 years old, she likes most cookies). However, I was really surprised by how much she LOVES the Orange Lavender Sugar Cookies. That was definitely her favorite!

My favorite was the get up and go bars. These were seriously yummy. They were so tasty that I ended up eating all of the bars myself and did not share with anyone :P.
Since I got a big box of yummy treats from Local Boy Bakery, I decided to do the right thing and share some with my bff Jessica. The fudge brownie was her favorite. She said it was great with a cup of coffee.

All in all, I thought the products we received to review were well packaged, freshly baked and delicious. I love to bake but I don't have enough free time to do that. So, it is nice to know that I can just shop at Local Boy Bakery in the future for yummy and tasty treats.

Like most women, I get very excited about jewelry. Sport-Brella Umbrella Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

One of the things we really enjoy doing this summer is going to the beach club with my friend Nancy and her kids. The water is not too deep for the kids. Every time we go, they just have a blast playing with the sand (making sand castles) and playing in the water. Most of the time, the moms just hang out by the water and watch the kids play. I usually bring my umbrella because Nancy seems to always forget hers. I must admit that as much as I like my umbrella, it is a pain to stick it in the sand. If I don't push it in far enough and the wind starts to blow, my beach umbrella does get tipped over. Another product we have is that it is hard to get all of us under just 1 umbrella. Usually I am under it with one kid playing by my feet and that's about all of the coverage we can get out of it.

I recently received the Sport-Brella Umbrella to review and I was really looking forward to testing it out. There are several things I really like about the Sport-Brella Umbrella. First of all, at 8 feet wide, it provides plenty of coverage for us and the kids. I love that our back is covered too so there is no chance of getting sun burn and we can still keep our eyes on the kids. Second, I like that it is really easy to put up. It only took me a couple of minutes to set it up the first time, it was definitely easier than I imagined. Third, I love the zip down side windows that provides air flow (if you want it). Last but bot least, it is light enough for me to carry over my shoulders. When we go to the beach club, I am actually able to push the stroller as well as carry the Sport-Brella Umbrella over my shoulder without any problems at all.
Sport-Brella Umbrella could actually provide you shelter in the wind and light rain. Being in Southern California, I rarely see either one of those, but we do get plenty of sun all year long. As such, I can see myself using this for family outings all of the time.

Village Tea Company Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

One of the things my bff Jessica and I love to do when we get together is tea drinking (it is actually considered an art and a common activity in Taiwan). We love trying new teas together (either at tea houses or at our homes). As such, when I received my package of teas from Village Tea Company, I had to try them with her.

Jessica is teaching Chinese at the local college, but she has more free time than the normal school year, so we have been able to get together to try tea more often too :). We were able to try Smooth Jasmine tea, Ginger Orange and Ginseng tea and Cherry Me Bloom tea.


After trying all three teas, we thought they were great, but our favorite was the Cherry Me Bloom tea -- seriously yummy! After a nice meal, we tried the tea with a nice berry pie and it was simply delicious. The tea was smooth (not bitter) with a sweet aroma. There are not many things as great as hanging out with with my best friend over a nice cup of tea that both of us enjoy.

Cook in the Kitchen Review & Giveaway -- ENDED

I love making food from prepackaged products because when I run out of ideas on what to make for dinner, I just need to put out the mixes and make something yummy very quickly. DH calls them "home assembled" food, I call them "fast food by mommy." I recently received 3 products from Cook in the Kitchen to review, and I thought they were yummy.

The products I received were LEMON POPPY SCONE & MUFFIN MIX, FARMHOUSE CHEDDAR SOUP MIX , and SWEET ONION DIP. I made the lemon poppy muffins first, we all thought the favor was good and the muffins turned out moist. The cheddar soup was creamy, it was definitely a hit with DD. The sweet onion dip mix was so good that even though a package of it is supposed to be 16 servings, my family devour the whole thing in one setting (I made it with creme cheese and it was simply delicious).

We really enjoyed the food made from the mixes by Cook in the Kitchen. I love that it is so convenient and I can make a delicious side dish so easily and quickly.
