I sometimes would need to send files to my friends or companies I work with on project to project basis (for translating legal documents or textbooks from Chinese to English or English to Chinese). However, sometimes the files are so large that I am unable to send them off via email; so I would put the files on flash drives for my friends or companies to download them-- of course, I always ask for my flash drives back.

My flash drives are pretty boring, just the generic stuff you see in the stores. When Mimobot send me a Hello Kitty flash drive to review. I just love what I saw.

I have been a fan of Hello Kitty since I was a young child, so of course I love the flash drive I receive. The only problem I have is that DD thinks that the flash drive is so cute that it must be a toy. She keeps on saying, "Mommy, you need to share with me. Sharing is nice." LOL!

Like most women, I love skin care products. I especially love organic products that smell great and work well. Recently, I received a package of great skin care products from Basa Body. Capresso CoffeeTEAM GS Review

Most of you probably do not know that I used to work in a coffee shop. While I was in college, I worked 3 part time jobs to pay my way through college. One of those 3 jobs I had was managing a coffee shop in shopping mall by my house. Because I worked at the coffee shop, I was actually pretty familiar with different brands of coffee machines. One would think that I would have a nice high end coffee machine, instead we had a cheap coffee machine that was $20-- what can I say, money was tight and when we had a bit more money, I never bought a better one.

Recently, we were lucky enough to have received a Capresso CoffeeTEAM GS to review.

To say this machine is awesome is an understatement. We have it program so that it make a fresh pot of coffee for us every morning. We love that we could just fill the coffee beans and the grinder does its job of grinding the coffee beans before the coffee is made. We also love that we could select mild, regular or strong coffee. The coffee filter holder stays inside the machine during grinder preserving more aroma and reducing mechanical movements. While DH loves having great and consistently tasty coffee every morning (I do too), my favorite feature is actually the GoldTone Filter. Since we try to be as eco friendly as possible, it is so nice to be able to reuse the GoldTone Filter instead of buying paper filter and not creating additional waste that pollutes Earth.

If you are in the market for a coffee machine, we definitally recommend checking out the products offered by Capresso.

Feature and Benefits
-The CoffeeTEAM GS lets you program the amount of coffee you want to grind: choose from 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 cups and select mild, regular or strong. The coffee filter holder stays inside the machine during grinder preserving more aroma and reducing mechanical movements. You can even program two completely different settings, one for manual operation and one for automatic operation. This way you always enjoy exactly the same coffee taste.
-The CoffeeTEAM uses solid steel conical burrs, the same as found in our automatic coffee centers. The slow grinding of the burrs imparts minimal heat preserving more aroma than blade grinding. It also allows a finer and more uniform grind than combination machines with a blade grinder.

-The easy-to-read LCD display shows the time, grind and strength settings.
-Charcoal water filter removes up to 82% of chlorine and other impurities.
-10-cup (50 oz.) Capacity.
-GoldTone Filter included. CoffeeTEAM GS can also be used with size 4 filter paper.
-Over 200° F brew and 180° F coffee temperature in glass carafe directly after brewing.
-2 Hour Safety Shut-Off will keep the coffee hot for two hours after brewing. Then the heating element will shut off by itself conserving energy and giving you peace of mind. PLEASE NOTE: A red light will blink indicating the heating element is on. The clock and all programmed settings stay on.
-The unit can be used with or without the grinder, accommodating pre-ground coffee, including flavored coffees or decaf. Choose the BREW MODE for pre-ground coffee or GRIND/BREW MODE for whole bean coffee.
-Stop-and-Serve lets you remove the carafe while brewing to serve a quick cup.

The Longaberger Company Medium Market Basket Review & Giveaway (ENDED)

A couple of weeks ago, you heard about how much I love the casserole I received from The Longaberger Company to review for Mother's Day. Today, I am going to tell you all about the Medium Market Basket I received to review. My friends have seen me carrying this basket around for weeks. I love it because we often meet at friends' homes or at the park for craft playdates or potluck lunches, and I use my basket for everything I need for these types of events.

I hope that you mommies out there love organic and eco friendly products as much as I do. I really enjoy reviewing them so I was excited to work with toby + rei . My family was lucky enough to have received 3 products to review and each one was more adorable than the last.



First of all, we received a soft baby blanket to review. The baby blanket has a cute motif design on it and it is sooooo soft that it reminded me of an old college sweatshirt I had (and still have today).

The second product we received to review was a lunch bag with robot design on it. DD is a fan of dinosaurs and robots so the lunch bag was an instant hit with her. The only thing is that she is not using it as a lunch bag, she actually prefers using it as a purse to carry all of her treasures when we leave the house, lol.

Last but not least, DD received a robot tee to review. The t-shirt is very soft and I love how unique the design is on it. When she wears the shirt out in public, she gets lots of compliments from little boys on how cool her shirt is. She really enjoys showing it off.

Bombe de Bain Review & Giveaway (ENDED)

To be honest, I was never a fan of bath bombs. DH and I love handcrafted soaps and although we have purchased bath bombs in the past, we thought they were just ok. Then we were given the chance to review bath bombs from Bombe de Bain. My expectations were not high -- especially since I don't really care for them to begin with. I thought, "Well, I am sure DD will find them interesting."

So the bath bombs arrived at our home and I was IMPRESSED! To begin with, they are so beautifully made, it was really hard to use them. Second, they are huge. I have never seen bath bomb this big in the stores before. Last but not least, they smelled sooooo good! DD used one for her bath and after she got out, she kept on asking us to smell her. LOL!

Bombe de Bain definitely made a believer out of me. I guess I did not like bath bombs before because I had not purchase the right ones. If they can convince someone who did not like bath bombs to begin with, can you imagine how much you would love their product if you already use and enjoy bath bombs?!

A conversation

Here's a conversation I had with DD.

DD: " Mommy, I have black hair."

Me: "Yes, sweetie, you do."

DD: "Does that mean I am Chinese?"

Me: Thinking... forming thoughts... "Well, just because you have black hair, it does not mean you are Chinese, but..."

Before finishing my sentence, I got interrupted.

DD: "I want to be Chinese."

Me: Cracking up, "Girl, I hate to break it to you, but you ARE Chinese."


I am not sure how long this will last, but I love that in my child's little world, there is no racial or ethnic differences. People are just people and you can be whoever and whatever you want to be. She wants to be Chinese because she is completely unaware of her outward appearances. Frankly, I am not even sure if she knows what is means to be "Chinese." She chooses friends base on how much fun she has with them and if she enjoys their companies. I think it's really sweet that she is still untainted by the ugly world adults live in.

DD has her own unique personality and she definitely has her sassy and "I am a girl with attitude" side. DH and I have talked about what we would do if DD decided to wear punk or rock style clothes when she grows up. We have decided that we would not mind at all. Honestly, we really only care that she grows up to be a decent and good person, we really will be ok with however she dresses. Besides, we actually like these kind of clothing :P (despite the fact that many of our friends think that we are pretty square, lol).

I was not sure exactly what DD would be receiving to review, so when this adorable hat came, I was really excited. I was actually secretly hoping that DD would get one of their cute pom pom hats to review.

DD also received 2 adorable baby dolls tees to review. We are fans of skull designs, so of course we thought the tees were great. DD loves her tees too because she said that they were her pirate shirts. LOL! I love putting these tees on DD with a pair of black leggings or jeans and some converse shoes. Too cute for words!

I have always preferred using skin care products from Japan. I have actually been using Japanese skin care products since I was a young teen-- I just find them to work better with my skin. DH thinks its weird that I would pick up facial cleaners and skin cream from the Japanese supermarkets. Frankly, I founded them to be less expensive and work better. Lots and Lots of photos ^_^

I haven't been very good about posting the photos I took of DD, so here they are! DD had a week off from preschool a couple of weeks ago. During her Spring break, we did a lot of things to make sure she kept busy.

First of all, here'a photo of DD with her favorite baby sitter, Tiffany! Ok, we only have one baby sitter, but I can assure you that even if we had more than 1, Tiffany would still be DD's favorite. Tiffany has been DD's baby sitter ever since she was 6 months old. DD adores Tiffany. She calls her "My Tiffany," and she loves it when Tiffany comes over to babysit. I used to teach night classes at the local college, so Tiffany was watching DD regularly. However, because of the budget cut, my job was eliminated. Tiffany does not come as often as she used to, but DD's love for Tiffany has not diminish one bit. One of the things we did pretty often was going to Debra's house for visits. During one of our visits, Debra had the girls help her making strawberry smoothies. Yummy!

In this photo, DD was wearing a skirt we received to review. She loved it so much that she insisted on wearing it right away. I took a quick photo of her in it, I will have to try to get better photos later :).

DD wore this cute dress that I will also be reviewing next month.

At some point (I can't remember when), we met Angela and her kids at Chick-fil-A for an afternoon playdate. Here's Mason enjoying his chicken. Yummy!

DD loved her food too!

On another day, we went to a park with some of our friends for a craft playdate.

We (the mommies) used masking tape to tape out letters and then had the kids paint the entire sheet of paper.

While we waited for the craft project to dry, DD ran around the park for some much needed fun ;).

When the paint is dried, you take the masking tape off. DD did an "A" here. If you want to do something fun, you can either do the entire alphabet, or do your child's name.

After running around at the park and doing her craft project, DD was ready to head home.

The following photos were taken at Debra's house. We were over at her house (yet again) for a playdate. She has a cool pond filled with fish in the backyard and the kids love checking it out.
