I was one of the lucky bloggers who was contacted by Disney to attend a special showing of The Sorcerer's Apprentice tonight. I must admit that I have seen the previews and I was pretty neutral about seeing the movie. When I was invited to the special showing, I thought it would be interesting to taking DD to see the movie with us. Honestly, since this is a brand new film and I don't know any moms who have taken their kids to see it (since it is not out in the theater yet), I was not sure if it would even be age appropriate for my little girl.
I think the way you can tell if a movie is entertaining enough is by how fussy your kid gets. If your 4 year can sit through the entire movie, then you have a winner. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is definitely one of those movies. DD sat through the whole movie without fussing even a bit. She laughed at certain parts of the movie and commented on how silly they were. DD, without a doubt, was entertained. After the movie, DD told me that she really liked the movie and she thought it was fun. DH and I also enjoyed the movie a great detail. Our favorite part of the movie was when Dave was going through his training sessions. Seriously funny stuff. We both laughed out loud.
I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining the film was -- not just for us, but for our 4 year old daughter. It is a movie that a whole family can enjoy together.
The film will be showing at theaters near you starting July 14th. Be sure to check it!
