Jizo & Chibi Necklaces Review and Giveaway (ENDED)

Winning comment is #112!
I don't know if many of you know that I am actually a buddhist. I do not go to buddhist temples in the US because there is actually a particular temple in Taiwan that I have been going to since I was a child. During our trips to Taiwan, I always make it a point to go to that temple because I feel that it's where my belief is rooted.

Jizo & Chibi sent us two beautiful necklaces to review. I was excited because I have been looking for something like these for myself and DD. It has been awhile since my last trip to Taiwan, so I was especially eager to find something that symbolizes my religious belief that I can wear close to my heart.

Jizo has a long history. 2500 years ago, he was one of the four principal bodhisattvas – enlightened teachers – in Mahayana Buddhism. Upon his enlightenment, when he could have transcended this life forever, he pledged to remain on earth until every soul was finished suffering. Revered as the protector of children, he can connect us to our inner child. Jizo also protects travelers. Someone once told me that Jizo was “the St. Christopher of Buddhism.
.

While I received the 1" silver Jizo to review, DD was lucky enough to have received the 18k gold vermeil little Jizo to review. Words can not express how cute these are in person. DD absolutely adores her necklace. When she asked who Jizo was, I told her that he was someone who would protect and watch over her. She was really impressed by that :).

We thought our necklaces were really well made, and we really love them. To buy your own Jizo & Chibi necklaces, please go to its website to make your purchase. If you are located in Southern California, you can also purchase Jizo & Chibi products from:

JMJ Jewelers
1500 E. Village Way
Suite 2220
Orange CA 92865

Many thanks to Valerie of Jizo & Chibi. She has generously offered the same necklaces we received to review as giveaway prizes to one of my lucky readers (US residents only please).
