Zero Water Review & Giveaway (ENDED)

Winning comment is #158!
DH thinks I am weird because I refuse to drink tap water. I think that tap water tastes weird and he disagrees with me. You see, DH has no problem drinking tap water. As far as he is concerned, they all taste the same.

Since we received Zero Water to review, we did a little test to see if he could tell the difference between tap water and water that has been filtered through Zero Water.

Yes, he did taste the difference! Personally, I thought the water filtered through Zero Water tasted much better than tap water. DH acknowledged that the water tasted different and he also thought it was better. If Zero Water was able to convinced DH, I think everyone else would be impressed by the product too ;).

ZeroWater water filters utilize a patented 5 stage Ion Exchange system that removes 100% of detectable dissolved solids and provides more complete filtration than conventional carbon water filters. ZeroWater is the ONLY filtered water that meets the FDA definition for purified bottled water. In side by side tests, ZeroWater scores a perfect 000 for detectable dissolved solids as measured by a TDS meter. Products include pitcher water filters, cooler systems, replacement water filter cartridges and laboratory grade TDS meters. * Filtered potable tap water tested by an independent lab (not the FDA) to meet specifically the water quality requirements for using the label "purified." †Compared to water produced by leading gravity fed filters.

To buy your own Zero Water, please go to its website to make your purchase.

Many thanks to Katrin of Zero Water. She has generously offered 1 Zero Water pitcher as a giveaway prize to one of my lucky readers (US residents only please).

The ZeroWater® Pitcher and filters are certified by NSF International and the Water Quality Association. There are certain things like Uranium that the filter has not been tested for and cannot answer is it filters this. It DOES filter Flouride out of the water and that is important to know if you need that for your kids!

i follow and I learned

How long will the filters last?
A. Though we are lab-certified for 22.5 gallons per filter under the strictest conditions, our customers with tap water near 200 TDS tell us that one filter will treat about 30 gallons of water before seeing a reading of 006 on their TDS meter. The lower the TDS, the longer the filters will last. You need to test your water to know for yourself.

The TDS meter that comes with your system is provided so that you can measure your TDS on an ongoing basis – perhaps every other day. This is especially important if you have high TDS water (over 300), as your filter will need to be changed more often. By using the TDS meter to frequently measure your filtered water, you will know it is time for a filter change before it has gone too far past 006
