Soapberry's Soap Nuts Review & Giveaway (ENDED)

Winning comment is #119!

If you haven't heard, my latest obsession is soap nuts. They are eco friendly alternative to your store bought laundry detergents. I started using them for everything, but I have been wondering if all soap nuts are created equal. Does one company sell better soap nuts than another?

Well, I had the pleasure of reviewing Soapberry's soap nuts, and I am a fan. The soap nuts are great and work as well as other companies I have tried. I am most impressed by the packaging of the soap nuts. I always found it odd when a company that sells eco friendly products would ship me things in bubble wraps or other non eco friendly packaging. When Soapberry's soap nut arrived, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed by the plastic container at first. Then, I realized that I was totally wrong. The soap nuts actually came in a container made from corn. Yes, you heard me right, the container is made from corn so it is biodegradable. Even the label is printed on 100% recycled paper. Seriously, how awesome is that! I am very impressed by the company's attention to details and it is very clear that me that this is a company that truly is environmentally conscious. Soapberry's Soap Nuts are great and they have the eco friendly packaging to match too. To buy your own soap nuts, please go to its website to make your purchase. By the way, shipping is free when you make a purchase! I recently brought 1 trial size soap nuts where a tiny package of soap nuts for 5 loads of laundry cost me $4.00 and the company even charged me almost $3 for shipping. At Soapberry's Soap Nuts, you can get 3 times amount of soap nuts of what I paid (yeah, that other company totally ripped me off, I will shop at Soapberry's Soap Nuts in the future instead for sure).

Many thanks to Roxanne of SoapBerry's Soap Nuts. She has generously offered a 3 oz. soap nuts containers (which will give you about 30 loads of laundry) and one Soapnut's hat to one of my lucky readers (US residents only please).

I had heard of these before, but not researched them. I thought it was awesome that you can use them as insect repellent! That actually might top the laundry use in our house, as we live on a farm with a very "buggy" lake! Great Product and I can't wait to try them.
