Here's DD and DH walking to the ticket window hand in hand. We had about 45 minutes before the movie started. So, DH took us out for a quick breakfast. DD refused to take her sunglasses off -- even when we were in doors.
Yes, she also wanted to color with her sunglasses on. The best part? She kept on complaining it was so dark. ROFL!
The best part about going to the movies? Popcorn! DD also had her dragon toy to "help" her as she watched the movie.
After the movies, I spent Saturday afternoon grocery shopping and then Saturday night making enough cherry cheese cakes for 20 people. Let's just say that I was thoroughly exhausted and I was already looking forward to the end of Easter weekend.
On Sunday, we headed over to DH's parents's house for our traditional Easter meal. After the meal, DD got to eat some peeps.
Counting her peeps to make sure there was enough to go around. She got lucky because no one else wanted peeps. LOL!
To keep her entertained, I hid some Easter eggs in the backyard for DD.
I only hid about 1 dozen eggs for her, but it was enough to make her very happy.
This is the face of a girl who could not wait to open up all of her Easter eggs.
On Sunday night, Jessica brought her kids over for a playdate. Even though she brought the kids over to play earlier in the morning, since Sammy (Jessica's husband was still away on his business trip), I told her to bring the kids over for dinner. I was going to make dinner for all of us, but Jessica had made some traditional Taiwanese food and so we got to eat her cooking instead. I was glad because I LOVE Jessica's dishes. Although we regularly have playdates and parties at our home for our friends, we actually only have Jessica and her family over for dinner -- I just realized this last night. I guess it makes sense since she is my best friend after all. Anyhow, this was the only photo I managed to take of the kids. They were outside playing with the bubbles while Jessica and I threw dinner together. After dinner, the kids played and watched TV while Jessica and I enjoyed tea and dessert in the kitchen. It was SO NICE!
