On February 9, 2010, Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Bow-tique will be released on DVD. We are huge fans of Disney and Micky Mouse, so when we were given the chance to review the DVD before its release date, we were excited! As soon as the DVD arrived, DD wanted to watch the DVD, but we waited until after dinner to watch it together as a family.
This new release features four Minnie-themed stories including a never-before-seen episode and afun Minnie magnet bow frame. Two episodes, ‘Minnie’s Pajama Party,’ and ‘Minnie’s Bee Story,’include Disney’s Adventure Mode – an interactive game using the remote control with multiple play levels. It's the grand opening of Minnie's Bow-tique, a store jam-packed with every kind of bow and bowtie imaginable. The selections include: the "Glow-Bow", a bow that changes color with every mood; the "Grow-Bow", a bow that grows to tremendous size by just adding water; flying "Butterfly-Bows";and a "Photo-Bow" that snaps instant pictures. Problems arise when Pete, embarrassed aboutbuying a lady's bow for his favorite aunt, causes a few accidental mishaps in the new store. However, super salesperson Minnie finds the perfect bow for Pete. The Bow-tique's grand opening is a success - and it all ends in a Big Bow Show with the Clubhouse gang modeling the latestfashions under the biggest bow of all, a colorful, sky-high Rain-Bow.In a never-before-seen episode, Minnie’s Pajama Party Minnie and the girls set up a fun Pajama Party sleepover for the day – but it’s not as easy as it sounds, especially with the addition of Pete and Willie the Giant!
If your child watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on tv, then you know exactly what you can expect from this DVD. The plots for each story runs in the same way. There are issues that need to be resolve. Mickey and his friends ask the viewers for assistance and then resolve all of the issues by the end of each episode. What I love about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse shows is that different items are introduced in the beginning of the show, and then when a problem needs to be solve, the show asks the viewers what item should be used. There is then a moment of silence to allow your child to answer the question. As a parent, I really like interactive parts of each episode. As I watched the DVD with DD, I noticed that she really was paying a attention and trying to figure out the best tool to solve each problem. The entire DVD is 96 minutes long, DD happily sat through it. As soon as it was over, she asked to watch the whole DVD again. Although DD enjoyed all of the episodes on the DVD, she specially like the Minnie’s Bow-tique and Minnie’s Pajama Party. She though Goofy was really funny when he wore the bows on his arms and legs. Her favorite part of Minnie’s Bow-tique was watching the butterfly bows flying all around after they were let out the box. S. She asked if she could get a butterfly bow too, lol. For the Minnie’s Pajama Party, she really enjoyed the singing in that episode and was dancing all around when the Disney characters were singing. If your child loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, this DVD is a sure bet. DD loves it and it was entertaining enough for us to sit through it with her.
To purchase the DVD we reviewed, you can buy Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Minnie’s Bow-tique wherever Disney DVDs are sold. The retail price of the DVD is $19.99.
