It's raining cats and dogs here!

I don't remember Southern California getting this much rain in the past (and I have been living here for a long time now). Since it is supposed to rain on and off for the next 2 weeks, we had to cancel all of the park playdates and move all of the events indoors. On Tuesday, we headed over to my friend Angela's house for a playdate. When we got there, it was a bit wet outside but the rain had stopped. The kids played very nicely indoors and had a yummy lunch.

DD enjoying her food.
After lunch, it started to rain a bit and Angela wanted to go to the store to buy some drinks. So, Debra and I stayed behind with the kids. By the time she got back (only 15 minutes later), it was pouring! I mean, like raining cats and dogs! Angela brought home some cookies for all of us and so while we waited for the rain to die down before we hit the road we had some yummy treats.

I think out of all of us, Jackson enjoyed his cookie the most. YUM!
Just when Debra and I are about to head home, it started to HAIL! You can see from the video how hard it was raining. I don't know if you can tell, but on the door mat, that were chunks of ice. In the background, you can hear the kids crying. Growing up in Southern California, they are not at all used to this kind of weather, so they were all a bit freaked out and scared. DD was crying that she wanted to go home.

It was raining hard today too. I took this photo after I loaded DD into the car to head over to Debra's house for lunch. You can see the rain outside of our car window
When we got to Debra's house, we made the kids lunch (using the awesome Lunch Punch). If you haven't enter this giveaway yet, you should because the lunch punch is awesome!
Mikey had some baby food. Not as pretty as the sandwiches made with Lunch Punch, but you can tell that he really enjoyed it.
DD with Mikey!
I love the rain because I grew up in Taiwan where it rains all year long. I am actually totally used to rain, but I feel really bad for DD and her friends because we haven't been able to take them to the park to play. As much as I love the rain, I am also looking forward to some nice sun shine so that the kids can go outside to play.

Your children are so adorable! I just moved from LA to Washington so now I am used to the rain but I remember how rare it felt. I would walk outside even if it only rained for a moment just to get to enjoy it. Now I stay inside because otherwise I would be outside all day every day. Wishing you the best!
