Challenge & Fun Labyrinth Balance Board Review & Giveaway (ENDED)

Winner is comment #130!

* Update: I have been informed by the company that the balance board can hold up to 280 lbs.

It is my pleasure to review this awesome eco friendly toy and share it with my readers. Rob from Challenge & Fun sent me this cool Labyrinth Balance Board for DD to try out.

We took it to the park with us so that DD can try it out. She was scared at first because she is not used to standing on something that's not flat. DH tried to help her by holding her arms. He was totally cracking up as he tried to help her.

After a few tries, she got better at it. Hooray!

After DD was done playing with it, I actually stood on it to try it out myself. It really is not as easy as it looks. I had to shift my weight around to move the little ball around the labyrinth. Meanwhile, DH was laughing at me for looking so clumsy. Then, he wanted to try it too, "because it looks fun," he said. Well, considering that he is a fully grown man and this product is made for a kid, I advised against it. Really, the last thing we needed was for DD to have a melt down because her daddy broke her toy.

My family really enjoy the Labyrinth Balance Board for the following reasons:

*It's Sturdy. The balance board is made with hard wood. It withstood my weight without any problems at all, so I know that it will last for years.

* It's eco-friendly. The balance board is made of wood so it is sustainable, which means less impact on the environment.

* It's safe. I know it looks like you might easily fall off it. But there isn't too much height to it, so it is safe for the kids even if they can not managed to stay balanced.

* It's fun. DD and I had a lot of fun trying it. Even DH wanted to get in on it. Too bad the company does not make one that could carry his weight.

* It's good exercises. It's amazing the energy it takes to balance yourself on the board. Not only that it is fun, it is good exercise for the kids when they play with it.

Does this sound like something you would like to pick up for your child for Christmas? You can pick one up at the Challenge and Fun store.

Rob has generously offered 1 Labyrinth Balance Board as a giveaway to one of my lucky readers. The retail value of this product is $85.

I think it's a great way for kids to get some exercise instead of sitting in front of a tv or video game. I'd give it to my niece.

To be honest, I think I might keep this one for myself! I am paraplegic, and have to work on my balance all the time. This might be a fun way to do that! (Okay...I might allow my kids to try it occasionally, too!!)
