The window shutter in DD's room broke a couple of months ago, we were trying to decide if we should replace it with another window shutter. After much consideration, I decided to put up some window curtains instead.
On Saturday morning, while DH worked in the back patio (putting a patio bench together), I was sewing away. I brought some bed sheets from Company Kids and used them to make the curtains, comforter cover as well as pillow case. I even have enough fabric left that I can use to make a pair of pants for her later on.
To make everything, I brought 1 twin size flat sheet ($3.99 on clearance) and 2 full size flat sheets ($5.99 each). So for less than $20, I was able to make a complete set for her bedroom and still have enough fabric left over to make other fun stuff for DD later on. Talk about frugal decoration. Woohoo!
